Rookie Great Sword VS Great Jaggi

3rd POV

It was mid day, the canopy creating a shadow of mystery over the forest floor, as a reckless, young man aimlessly wandering the forest in search of his prey.

Unknown to the supposed hunter, his prey was hunting him.

A great best, standing on two agile legs, stood nine feet in height, hiding just behind the man. Quietly stalking its next meal as the younger, smaller beast started encircling their prey.

Starting the hunt, two of the five smaller bird wyverns charged at the unprepared hunter.

The hunter, hearing the sudden footfalls, jumped backwards, unsheathing his iron great sword. Proceeding to knock one of the Jaggi away before the second jumped at him.

Using the momentum of his first strike, the hunter impaled the sword into the ground and swung his legs kicking the second Jaggi midair.

As the first two flew away from the hunter, the other three Jaggi charged the hunter head on as the Great Jaggi shifted towards the opposite side of the battlefield.

Seeing the three Jaggi charged, the hunter ran towards them. Striking across his body, he hit the center and left Jaggi cutting clean through.

The right Jaggi, seeing an opening, slammed into the hunter, knocking him closer to the giant in waiting.

The Great Jaggi bursting through the underbrush. Charging the stunned man. With a vicious roar, the creature brought it's massive jaw down.

Recovering and thinking quickly, the hunter brought his sword above him.

The beast, chomping upon the blade, pulled away throwing it's head back in pain.

Getting up, the hunter saw the other three Jaggi begin to circle him.

As the Jaggi charge, the hunter swings his blade around him, spinning through two before rolling out the way as massive jaws crash inches from body.

The hunter moves to strike. Coming a breath away from the neck of the beast before the smaller one jumps. Knocking the blade from its kill.

The Great Jaggi takes advantage and hits the hunter with its tail.

Sent sprawling, the hunter loses his grip. The sword impaling the ground a few feet away.

Standing, the hunter goes for his sword. The Great Jaggi getting in-between him and his sword.

As the Great Jaggi lunges forward, the hunter rolls under the jaws.

Grabbing the sword and lunging toward the beast, aiming for its lungs.

The giant sword tearing through its lungs and heart sticking out the other side.

The Might beast falls, crying out its last breath as it hits the ground.

Knowing the worst is done the hunter swiftly pulls out a poisoned throwing knife. Throwing it with deadly accuracy into the remaining Jaggi neck.

The hunter, standing victorious, pulls his blade from his fallen foe and returns it to its holster.

With a sigh the hunter works quickly, carving his kills before another predator catches wind of the dead.

Finishing his work the hunter begins to cautiously make his way out of the forest. This fight a constant reminder to always be alert to the surrounding area.
