It was Uncle Steve; he was smiling at the bed side of his wife. She was in the hospital bed sitting up holding two bundles in her arms. Tears were streaming down her face. Then she moved the blankets on one of the bundles and nurse picked up the other bundle.

“They’re beautiful, they look like you” said the nurse.

“The girl maybe the boy, no, he's the spitting image of him”

I walked over to the babies and took a close look at them. Aunt Lilly was right, the boy was the spitting image of Uncle Steve and the girl looked like her. The Girl resembled katliyn a little, the baby had the same violet eyes and Carmel colored stumble of hair. Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I turned around and saw Uncle Steve smiling.

“Thank you Michael”

“Any time”

“If it’s not too much can you tell Lillian one more thing?”

“Of Course anything”

“I want you to tell Lillian to name the boy Steven and that she can the name the girl whatever she wants.”

“Will do”

Uncle Steve smiled, and then the scene changed. I was in a  basket ball game. The crowd in the stands was screaming. I had the ball and I was dribbling down the court. Just as I was about to make the shot, when I fell and let go of the ball. Suddenly the whole court cleared except for one man. He wore a maroon shirt and khaki Bermudas. He was part way bald with grey hair on the sides and a grey mustache. His face was wrinkly and old looking. He stood with back arched and legs out. As he started walking toward me 11 girls in white and maroon basket ball jerseys appeared behind them. They were all walking toward me, and then the girls stopped at the half court line but the man just kept walking toward me.

“What are you doing? What does it look like I’m running here? A tea joint? Maybe a couch company? Get up and play ball! If you don’t want to play let me know I got plenty of girls who do!” His blue eyes were going wild as he looked at me.

“I want to play sir”

“Well to bad! Basket ball players have 10 toes not 8! I think I'll put Sammy in for you! Sammy!”

Sammy was an Arabic girl with long black hair that fell to her lower back. Her eyes were almond colored and her smile was wide and bright. She had the number 17 under the name Ramahi written in broad white letters.

“Yes coach”

“Go in for her”

“Yes sir”

With that she ran on to the court to join the other girls once again. I turned toward the bench and saw my older sister Vanessa.

“Vanessa!” I exclaimed as I half limped half ran into my sisters arms. I hadn't seen Vanessa in five  years, she had been away at collage to become an astronaut. I buried my head into her shoulder. Her Brown hair covered my head. After she pried me off her she grabbed my hand and smiled at me with her warm smile and green eyes.

She let go of my hand and stroked my Carmel colored hair and hugged me tighter. Suddenly we were in the library at my junior high. Vanessa put her hands on the sides of my face and stared into my eyes.

“You have the same eyes as me you know”

“Yes I know,” I said as my eyes started to tear. “When are you coming back? Have you heard what happened to me? Have you gotten in to NASA yet?”

Gradually Vanessa started to fade. She didn't seem to notice, she kept smiling at me and saying things like “I don't know” or “It's ok”.

“Vanessa don't go!” I screamed. Now she was almost completely gone but she said one last thing.

“I love you”

Now she was gone completely and I was left in an empty whiteness, alone and crying. Next thing I knew I was in a black area with hundreds smiling and encouraging of people. One by one they disappeared, leaving an empty spot. Then it came to when it was only me. In front of me there was a figure in a black robe and a Florissant red mask. He appeared in front of me suddenly. He leaned in until he was about 1inch away from my face, then he blew in my face. I awoke with a start. My mom was shaking my shoulder. I looked around and saw my dad coming in with a wheel chair.

“IT's time to go home” my mom said with a big smile on her face. She made me feel all warm, but I knew her smile was fake. Then I allowed her to hoist me into the wheel chair. As she wheeled me out I thought of the dream I had just had. It made me think what if, all of that actually happened.
