Toby stumbled back as he dropped the manga he was holding and stared at the woman in front of him.
"Oh my God..." the woman whispered as she slapped her hands over her mouth and stared at her son.
She suddenly ran forward and tightly wrapped her arms around him, holding him close.
Toby slowly lifted his arms up and tightly hugged his mother, tears silently falling down his pale cheeks.
"Excuse me, I don't mean to interrupt, but shouldn't we do this in a more private place?" Masky asked as he put a hand on Toby's shoulder.
The two brunettes nodded their heads as they pulled away from each other and wiped their eyes.
"M-My house is just down the street, we can walk from here," the woman said and they made it to her house within a minute.
When they walked into the house, Toby was hit with a sense of nostalgia. The old photos were still on the wall and everything seemed to be the same.
"I think I should introduce the two of you. Uh, T-Tim, this is my mom, Connie," the teen said and the two adults shook hands, Masky noticing how Connie was shaking.
"God, Toby, I thought you were dead. But...the police never found your body and the only thing they found was the old hatchet that you took from the garage..." Connie said as she sat on the couch and put her face in her hands.
"Well, I'm still alive and I kind of...have a family now," Toby said and the woman looked up at her son, memories flooding through her mind.
"It's a bit of a weird family...but we all love each other like siblings and I'm happy."
Connie smiled and tightly hugged her son again.
"Toby, Tim, would you like to see something?" she asked and the two nodded their heads and allowed Connie to lead them to the attic.
She pulled out a video camera and handed it to Toby who flipped it open and pressed play.
His eyes widened when he heard his sister's voice in the video.
"So, Toby's in the shower right now and I'm gonna have some fun."
Lyra grabs a bowl of ice water and hands the camera to Connie before running in front of it and grinning.
She runs to the bathroom and quietly opens the door with one hand and walks into the room.
When she's in front of the shower, she lifts the bowl over the curtain rail and dumps it on an unsuspecting Toby.
"OH MY- JESUS, LYRA!"
Toby sticks his head out of the shower and glares at his sister who laughs and runs out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Toby didn't even realize that he was crying before Masky pointed it out and he quickly wiped his tears away.
"I...I didn't know that she recorded this," he said with a small laugh.
"There's more on there. You can have it if you want," Connie replied and Toby tightly hugged her.
"Thank you... We should get going now. I'll be back in a few days," he said as he pulled back and the three walked back down into the living room.
"I love you, Toby," Connie said and Toby softly smiled at her.
"I love you too, Mom," he said and the two hugged once more before he left with Masky.
"Well, she's nice," the older man said and Toby chuckled as he looked down at the video camera.
"Yeah, she is."
