Lunch time finally rolled around and I was very hungry, but I didn't want to eat anything. I texted Remi and told me to meet her next to the stairwell that went down to the cafeteria.

I spotted Remi who was looking down at her phone then looked up, her face lighting up when she realized it was me. "Hey!" She said to me, I flashed a not fake, but not real smile as a response. Then her face kind of fell, too. "Are you okay?"

"Um, yeah just tired." I shrugged my shoulders and then followed her down the stairs. The floor was flooded with a ton of people, so I grabbed Remi's book bag where her dark chestnut colored hair was and pulled on that too. "Whoops sorry." I half heartedly laughed.

She finally took at a seat at a round table that sits 8 people, seems like she's got some friends, unlike myself. I looked around at assortment of boys and girls sitting there, in silence. "Everyone," Remi broke the silence, "this is Courtney. She was in my geometry class and she's sort of new. Today is her first day here." All the teens smiled at me then started to introduce themselves.

I learned all of their names.
Emery was a dark tanned girl with fiery, bright green eyes and some tight, curly, dark brown hair.

Sitting next to Emery was another girl named Charlene. This girl had flawless skin with straightened dirty blonde hair with piercing blue eyes. I wish my eyes were pretty like that, I had dull hazel eyes.

Next, there was 4 boys all sitting next to each other and they all had an athletic build to them.
The first ones name was Conor. He had brown, shaggy hair and eyes.
The next one was Tyler. He whispered something to Conor, then he tossed his head back laughing, causing his dirty blond hair to flop around. His eye lids covered his brown eyes. He was cute, they all were.
Corbin was the third boy at the table, he sat lower in his chair so he was probably a bit shorter than the others. His hair was black and he had blue eyes, odd combination i thought, but I liked it. Corbin started laughing with the last guy at the table, Michael.
Michael had broad shoulders and I could tell he had a toned body through his light blue v-neck. He had light brown hair and the same colored hazel eyes as me, but they looked better on him than me. Michael looked up at me and smiled and made a gesture at the chair, so I took at seat.

As I sat down, everyone said hello and shot 103929 questions at me like my favorite things, what school I previously went to, and just everything in between.

I didn't eat anything and they kept asking me why. Conor asked me again another time. "I had a big breakfast." I lied and searched for another excuse, "Oh, and in 6th hour, culinary, apparently we start making stuff as a 'pretest' so i'll just wait 'til then." The lie seemed to work so they just went with it, actually surprised that took it.

Lunch was finally over and we all retreated to our 6th hour, which it was culinary for me, so my lie wasn't a total lie. Also to my surprise, we were cooking for a pretest, so never mind. I didn't lie, I "truthed."

Ms. Louis told us we had eat the food we made because we had to grade ours to hers, seemed ridiculous but I new i couldn't lie on that, she was watching everyone. We also had to have a group to cook with for the semester, so that's great considering i literally don't know anyone. Luckily, this girl named Bree asked me to be in her group so i didn't have to find anyone.

The school day finally and slowly ended and it was time to go home. Rémi found me and tagged along with me and came over. She out of breath from chasing after me, so between breaths, she asked how my first day was and how I liked the school.

I had to think about it before I answered her. How did I like it? "I didn't completely hate it, so I guess that's a plus. I made friends easier at this school than any of the other schools I've been at in the last few years."
