Enchantment

Why, they ask,

Do you shy away from humans,

And choose to live with spirits instead?

Well, I answer them,

I have learned many things from these

'Spirits'

As you call them.

I have learned how to sing with the nymphs

I can dance with the fairies

I run with the wolves

I have kissed the moon

I can see more than you can

I tasted freedom

True freedom

Not this silly little thing with rules

Chains, these rules are, keeping you controlled,

Passive

Calm.

I have escaped these chains

I slipped off the noose

I unclipped the leash

You are enchanted.

I am free.
