Chapter 3- control/ full moon

I woke up feeling dirty and didn't know why. I grabbed my phone knowing that I had to go to school in an hour and texted stiles asking him for a ride cause i didn't feel like driving. He texted back saying sure and she put down her phone. I went to get up and fell flat on my face. I had a terrible fear that i had a tail but i turned her head in relief when i had legs. I got up took a shower and got dressed in high waisted jean shorts and a black nike tank top with converse. After I did my hair and makeup I sat down and looked at my legs. They felt so itchy i couldn't believe it. I thought about it and realized it was a full moon and I could now change. I quickley changed my mind about my outfit to high waisted white jeans and a P!ATD shirt with my black leather jacket and converse. At that time stiles knocked at the door and I walked down my stairs with my bag and opened the door " hey stiles" " hey" we walked to the car and I got in the back. On the way there they told me the plan for tonight with Liam. " what about me?" I asked " what about you?" Stiles asked. " well I'm 16 and I can Change tonight without control." They looked at eachother and told me that they could chain me up too. I agreed and realized how thirsty I was. " do you have any water stiles?" I asked. " yeah there is a whole case of bottles in the back." I reached back and took a bottle finishing it in seconds still thirsty. With the 2 minutes it took Us get to school I drank a total of 10 water bottles and was still thirsty. When we parked they look at the mess I made so I started to talk. " uh... I think the mermaid side of me is coming out." I said referencing the bottles. We all agreed and said we didn't have to chain me up. I went to my locker and realized that school didn't start for a while but thy had lacrosse practice so I sat outside while they practiced and read in my phone about mermaids. I learned so much and started to think this would be really fun. Boy I was wrong. The pack made me ask Liam to a party tonight and I felt bad since I liked him so much but I had to lie to him. In art I talked with Liam about the randomest things and just had fun. At the end of art I realized I painted 3 canvases and didn't remember any of them. The first one was of a girl with purple eyes and long dirty blonde hair like me. The second was of a mermaid with the same feature and a beautiful tail that was blue, purple, and silver with shells. And the third was of a large white tiger with purple eyes and a mark that looked like a moon on its fur. I thought, maybe these were my forms. Liam complemented my work as where he painted a plate of spaghetti and meatballs. When the school day was over, stiles took me home and I did my homework and changed into a short floral skater dress and black converse. I looked at my legs again since they were still itchy but nothing was there. I looked in the mirror after fixing my makeup and saw something in my hair. There was 2 seashells holding my hair back. I guess I really was starting to change. I picked up Liam and we drove to Lydia and my lake house. He asked me to turn the music down when it was at 2 so he was defiantly feeling the full moon. We got the re and only Scott's motorbike, stiles jeep, Kira's car, and Lydia's car was here. He looked at me questioningly. " we're just early" I said playing it cool. He grabbed my hand making me blush and feel worse about this plan, either way we walked to the door and went in. I closed the door behind us saying sorry to Liam.

" so the what are you Sky?" He asked " not important right now, the full moon is up and your changing." I stated. Liam started screaming and having a fit. I looked to Lydia but she was just staring at my legs. Bluish purplish scales were scattered across my legs, and I looked at her while internally freaking out. We were brought back to the conversation when Liam started scratching the floors. We decided to chain Liam up in the near the lake in the shed while Lydia had a party. Scott and Kira chained Liam up while I stared in the mirror. I watched at my hair faded to purple and blue. Golden scales wrapped on my arms like cuffs and most of my legs were now covered in scales. Liam almost broke out of the chains before they were put in so Kira knocked him out. I felt so bad. He didn't chose this, he doesn't even understand what's happening. He would never forgive me for this. Once Scott and Kira got him chained up. They turned to me in awe. " uhh... are you okay Skye?" Scott asked. " yeah, I mean I think so. The thing is I don't think I can take being on land any longer. It's so dry." I told Scott that I'm going to just swim in the lake for tonight. I kissed Liam on the forehead and as I walked to the water, tingled shot through my body. I dove in and was fretted by a warm fuzzy feeling. I looked down and saw my tail. For some reason, instead of being freaked out , I was really happy. I finally knew who I was and was confident for once. I went to swim to get air but found myself breathing in the water. Suddenly a noise of glass shattering came from above. I went to the surface to see Scott running after a loose Liam. Crap, just one day of happiness would be nice! I followed them along the lake and stopped when Liam collapsed, crying. Scott told him it would be okay, and I knew it would.
