What makes us do the things we do? What causes us to say something we don't mean, or do something that we regret? What shapes our minds and molds us into the terrible creatures that we never wanted to be?

Hate.

It's such a simple thing, isn't it? One emotion out of many that we feel everyday. Just a four letter word that we use all the time. We don't always mean it, of course. Who could? How can a person say that they really hate something? That they loathe and despise something so much, that it drives them to do things that don't need to happen. That shouldn't happen. Things that can cause horrific destruction and countless loss, pain, and suffering. Who would do that? Who could do that? Well, the truth is that no single person could.

But an entire population can.

To properly digest this fact we must dive into the past, to when everyone used to love, respect, and help each other. A past that seems alien to those living today that you will meet later on in this tale.

One hundred years ago the great country of Valdren was shared happily amoungst it's six main species: Angels, Vampires, Demons, Wizards, Shapeshifters and Knights. Along with a variety of elves, fairies, and other fantastic beasts, all species lived in peace, harmony and prosperity. But of course, like all perfect things in this world and in yours, it did not last.

No one knows who striked first, or how it happened, but one thing is known and will never be forgotten: the six great Kings of the six main speices of Valdren, died that day. Having been mercilessly slain by each other. They were found lying lifeless beside ech other, a bloody weapon in each of their hands. The once glorious, invincible Kings of Valdren, were as dead as the peace of their now savage country.

Outraged by the murders of their leaders, each species raged battle after battle with one another, seeking revenge for their fallen Kings by any meens necessary. Hundreds of thousands of brave souls had given their lives for the honour of their Kings, and their kin.

It was called the Century of War, and it still rages on today. Though with far less casualties. Why? Because there is no one left to fight. The populations of each species has been reduced to mere dozens. They only ones left are the six new leaders of each species. They govern over the rest of their populations: children. The ones that are too young to fight, that stayed behind, safe in the shadows will their mothers, fathers, and siblings fought. They were raised by their leaders, taught of the evils of the other species that shared their home. Taught tohate them, loathe them, KILL them at any chance they got. To make them feel the pain of their Kings.

But, something has happened.

Kishon, a Dark Elf, one of the forgotten species that cowered in his home while the others murdered each other-had an idea. Raising an army of his own with his elven kin he attacked the others. The superior training and sheer numbers won the elves power. They were no longer the lesser species, no longer the forgotten ones. With his army by his side Kishon drove the other species into hiding. He took over one area at a time, pushing them all to the outskirts of Valdren where they no live, hate still lingering in their young hearts, not only for each other, but for Kishon as well.

They are tired.

Tired of bieng taken over. Tired of scrounging for food and living in fear. Tired of growing up to the sound of battle cries. They've had enough.

Though loathing still coorses through the veins of each one of them, they will do the unthinkable. They will do what not even a madman would suggest, let alone the idea of one of the leaders himself.

Our story begins with a reluctant, but necessary meeting.

Aldrick, leader of his fellow Wizards has an idea. One that will either save Valdren and it's people, or doom them for eternity.
