A LOST SOUL

A Lost Soul

A soul gets released

Into the still night air.

With only the shot of the gun,

The body loosens

And falls to the ground.

The family soon after

Learns of the event.

Tears spread around their cheeks,

Mourning over his death.

The reason for death

Wasn't murder.

It was suicide.

How aggravating it must have been

For the family to find out the truth.

Especially his son and daughter,

Only in middle school

And devastated by their father's death.

But don't worry.

Go ahead and move on in life.

Make your father proud.

Do not falter.

Do not hesitate.

Walk on ahead proudly.

For he is watching you from above.

Just know that he always loves you.

He will always watch over you.

Smile every day for him to see.

For he is always with you.

I personally made this poem to get your hopes up, although the first part might make you cry again. But I'm just hoping that you'll both feel better. I do realize this is not an original poem format but just ignore that. I just want to make you guys feel better. So please brighten up okay?
