Chapter Twenty

The school year has ended. Madam Pomfrey got me fixed up alright, despite my hair, which I guess I'll just have to deal with. I finally look just like I did before, a shaved version of how I was before, but on skin matters, only thing is that I have a long scar running down my face.

I was completely outraged when I found out my examination scores, comparing them with Hermione's, she had beat me by one single question. I had spit out every curse word I knew, course I was by myself when that had happened, no one was in earshot.

About the Animagi practices, however hard they eventually became (and how hard I know it will become in the future), Dumbledore decided that we will continue practices during the summer, I will travel there using floo powder on Tuesdays and we'll actually work on it longer each day. To be honest, I'm kinda tired of it. I know I can't stop, and I know how cool it would be to become an animagi, but I'm starting to regret my decision.

Anyways, I packed up my bags, and now I head down the Hogwarts Express, trying to find a seat. The only place I find is an empty compartment. Everywhere else is full and I decided to leave my friends alone, actually it was more the otherway around. I pull out a book and begin reading. I believe it wasn't that long before we arrive at King's Station that the compartment door opens.

I look up.

"Hi." Malfoy says

"Hey. What's up?" I ask in return.

He shrugs, "Nothing." We stay there in silence, awkward.

"Well I suppose we'll be getting there soon, so..." I propose

"Oh right, uh. I just wanted to say, you're free to owl me if you ever want to..." Then he leaves.

I am in no way sure at all what is up with Malfoy, but I suppose it's always better than being enemies with him. I join Tracey and Daphne in those last 10 minutes. We talk and we all discuss visiting each other during the break.

As I leave the train, I stop by Ron, Harry, and Hermione's compartment.

"Hey guys." I say.

"Hey! Aran!" Hermione greets, "You'll at least owl us, right?"

I shrug "If I'm up to the task. More often than not, I am, so I guess so."

"Great." Ron says, "I'm thinking about inviting you guys over to my house for the last few weeks. You'd be able to come, right?" he asks me

"Course." I say as the train comes to a complete stop. "Well I best be going. Bye. Be sure to owl, I'll respond as long as you write me. Bye guys!" I say and leave.

Sooner than later, I'm being driven home by my dad and Kitty and daydreaming about the next year at Hogwarts. I wonder what adventure will be in store next year. What dangers will interest me, hopefully something will be happening. Otherwise it'd just be too boring. I can't stand anything that bores me too much. Hopefully Hogwarts will not go on that list.

I can't wait, even just to visit the Weasleys and see all of my other friends. This better be good.
