"Lucy! We're leaving!"

"I'll be down in a sec!" Lucy returned to her impatient parents waiting downstairs for her. They we're going away for a long romantic weekend to 'save their marriage'. Lucy, a small, scrap of a 17 year-old, was old enough to stay home alone. Tripping in her hurry down the cold, un-carpeted steps of her stairway, Lucy smiled at her parents.

"Got everything?" she asked.

"Think so!" her parents agreed.

" Are you SURE you'll be alright Lu, sweetie? You can come you know!" Lucy's mum fussed.

"Mum, this is your romantic get away. Enjoy it with no kid! Plus, I don't think Dad would appreciate me coming!" I smiled.

Dad chuckled and nodded.

"Well, you'd best get going or you'll be late to your dinner reservations! They are at seven, and it's eleven a.m. now!" Lucy exclaimed. She always had to keep her parents in check.

"Alright. Bye darling!" Both her parents kissed her forehead. Lucy followed them out and waved the car away. Looking around, Lucy saw the regular things for her village. It was a quiet village, but not deserted. Everyone knew each other, and maybe 50 people lived there. It wasn't an old village, but not a modern one. All the houses were from the 1950's ish and were made of brick. Heading back in-doors, Lucy prepared some oven chips and a baked potato.
