The next morning (Name) woke up before Tallahassee and promptly left him a note. She got dressed, started the laundry and cooked breakfast waiting for the boys to wake up. Columbus woke up at noon. He smiled and sat down

"(Name).. Is that a hickey?" He pointed at her neck.

"What? Oh that? It's just a bruise. Are you enjoying breakfast?" (Name)'s ears turned pink and she picked up her toast.

Columbus looked down and continued eating. Tallahassee rolled over expecting to see (Name)'s (s/c) pretty face but was met with a note. He grumbled sitting up and read it scratching his head.

    Tallahassee,
I'm not going to say last night was a mistake. I'm just going to say I'm not sure what I want or what you want. Your the first man I've seen in awhile that's not dead or related to me.

Tallahassee smiled and pulled his clothes on sauntering out to her and Columbus. "What is all this?" He asked examining the breakfast foods.

"(Name) made breakfast for us. It's really good. Practically orgasmic." Columbus remarked looking at his plate. (Name) tensed up and met eyes with Tallahassee. He sat down and smiled. "Well I'm going to dig in."

After breakfast Columbus went to shower and get dressed. (Name) started to take the dishes up off the table but Tallahassee beat her to it. "No no no. You cooked. I'll clean." She laughed and bumped him with her hip.

"Yes Sir!" (Name) turned around to leave but he spun her back around.

"I missed you this morning. I read your note and I agree. We shouldn't jump into something we can't handle."

"I'm glad you understand."

"But I will still do this when no one is around..." Tallahassee put the dishes in the sink and kissed her pulling her close to him.

(Name) pulled away and stared at him before pulling him down to kiss again. She leaned her forehead against his and laughed. "This is not good.."

Tallahassee nodded. "I know but we are so damn lonely." He kissed her again slow and gentle.

"Hey Tallahassee the showers open." Columbus shouted from the hallway, Tallahassee pulled away from (Name) quickly.

"OKAY!" He smiled, stroking her cheek with his hand. "I'll do the dishes then take a shower. You do you things."

(Name) grinned and went outside. As she approached the hole her mom was in she gagged and vomited. Something had gotten to her mom and tore her open.

"(Name)?" She turned around and faced Columbus. "What are you doing?"

"I am burying my mother. I was doring that yesterday when you arrived." (Name) picked up the shovel and started pouring dirt on her mom.

"Oh.. Was this your house before... You know?"

(Name) stopped and pushed the shovel in the ground. "Yes it was. It had been since I was 16. I'm 24 now. I came back for a weekend from college and then all hell broke lose with the freaking zombies."

Columbus swallowed and looked at ground. "I'm sorry for your loss."

She pulled the shovel out of the ground and continued.

"I'm not sure I am. They were disappointed in me. I wasn't what they wanted." (Name) smoothed the surface of grave and gestured to the house. "Let's head back. I'm sweaty and I need a shower."

A few weeks later after a few nights of sleeping with Tallahassee, (Name) was tending to the garden she had outside. She saw Columbus and waved him over. "Hey Col! Come help me with this!" (Name) held up a basket and handed him one.

She picked a tomatoe and placed it in her basket. "If it looks ripe pick it. With the extra people I need extra food. Don't get me wrong I love having you guys around, we just eat alot."

"I agree. This is very impressive (Name), did you grow all these?"

"Uh no, This was my moms garden I just added more to it because we can't find any fresh food anymore. The same is with the pigs, Dad found a few that weren't zombies and brought them home. It's not steak but it works. Let's take these inside to clean them."

Columbus followed her. "We want to talk to you."

(Name) shook her head and opened the door. She put her basket on the counter, plopped down on the couch and look at up at Columbus. "Then come talk."

Columbus and Tallahassee sat down as (Name) passed out beers. She sat in her fathers armchair and looked at them.

Columbus took a drink and sat the bottle down.  "We want to stay here. You are doing so well and we want to help you."

"I'd really rather you all stay. I like you bunch."

"And we like you." He answered. "We'll help out if you want. We've spent so long surviving we want to try to live."

Tallahassee raised his bottle to his lips. "And if all else fails you cam come with us."

"Well if your going to stay here we need to go shopping."

"Woah woah woah. I trust you know what to do and all but shopping?" Tallahassee rubbed his nose with his hand.

"Just trust me. And follow me."
