Chapter 12 Attractions

{Riley POV}

The girls dragged me out of his room and down to the basement. There was a door which looked like it was the door to a hospital. I blinked. "Why are we here?". " Oh. The boys moved you guys here and they put Cole in the infirmary. They knew it would be the best place for him to go.",  one of the girls said. As she opened the doors. I was dragged down two hallways before we stopped in front of two mahogany double doors.

I couldn't move as I tried to collect my breath. My senses suddenly became heightened.

 Thump-thump

Thu-thump 

Th-thump

THUMP!

Two heartbeat beat together.

I already knew that Cole was in the room before I walked in. The doors were slowly opened and the sight before me shocked me.

Cole's usual calm blue eyes were a scorching gold with deadly swirls of black. He was starring at me with such intensity I felt chills run all over me, caressing me. My eyes woudln't part with Cole's. They consumed me taking over and I felt as though a lock was being unchained. The bond, it was accepting him. Letting him into my mo\ind. At first all I heard was Cole's wolf growling and snarling, but soon I started hearing mumble, then. "COLE!!!!!!!!!". 

I snap out of whatever daze, the connection lost. What? I shake my head a little bit and realize what is going on.  The lady in the room screamed as Cole tried to grab me. I had been reaching for his hand and he seemed like a mad men as he thrashed growling low in his throat. The Alpha was pushing Cole down and the two girls were pulling me back. Suddenly I felt something oozing down my legs. It burned. I fell on the ground, crying out. 

That got  Cole to snap out of whatever trance he was also in. He stopped resisting the Alpha and the Alpha released his hold on him. "R-Riley, are you ok?" was the first thing out of Cole's mouth. I looked down and noticed that there was a drop pf something purple on the ground. It made a small hissing sound then disappeared leaving a tiny purple burn-like mark behind.

"Y-yes", I said as I slowly stood with the help of the two girls on either side of me."Sorry for causing such a commotion.", I mumble looking down ashamed. "Hey, it is ok. It happens, doesn't it.", said the girl on my left. "No, it isn't. What was the cause of the pain you experienced?", the alpha said, authority drowning out anything else in his voice.

Cole growled. 'We were bonding, I don't know why it was so sudden, but our bond was getting stronger. However, when you pulled us apart she lost focus and the bonding process broke. She felt pain, because I was still trying to bond us." 

Realization spread across almost every face. I walked over to Cole, but this time no one tried to stop us. I grasped his hand and held it. He lay back down calmly as though a heavy weight had been lifted off his shoulder. It was as though he had been stressed and just my being here took all of it away.

"How are you?", I say softly. "I'm better, Now.", he said as he gingerly stoked soft patterns in the back of my hand. "You look beautiful.", He said, and I blushed.  The alpha cleared his throat and caught  both of our attention. "So, are you going to formally introduce us, son.", he said with a small hint of humor. I know for a fact that my eyes become as huge as the sun, cause, you know. I practically DIED right then and their. This powerful alpha was Cole's dad.
