Mythical Creature Academy

Arrival

The first day.

They always say that it is the easiest day of the school year. Wish that were true.

My name is Damien Dracus. I'm starting my first day at the Academy for Mythical Beings, or as the common people call it: The Mythical Creature Academy. It takes a bit to get into this place. You have to either be a mythical creature, know magic, or have fighting skills.

Myself, well I am a mythical creature. But I had to convince the board of directors that I knew fire magic since most would kill what I am. I don't talk about it so I'm not going to say.

I arrived at the Academy with only my black jacket and slacks. They had holes all over them and were pretty burnt, but they were all I owned.

I walked down the street towards the Academy hoping that I could find some sort of happiness, some way to forget what I am and what my family has done.

As I neared the entry arch way I could see a slur of different Mythos. There were werewolves, vampires, fairies, witches, angels, demons, warlocks, knights, shapeshifters, and even some minos. (Basically mice people. They can shrink naturally. I don't know if they are a real thing but they sound cute.) I got too excited and sniffed around, hoping to find someone like me.

But I should have know there was no one. The only thing that was were the pet on people's shoulders or on their bags. It sickened me to think that I could be in that position or place. I choose to ignore them and just find my dorm.

As I walked though the gate I saw multiple students helping the new arrivals. There was this blonde woman helping a female vampire. After she sent her off, she came over to him, "Hey! You must be new!"

I sighed since her perky attitude set me off. "Yeah.... What do you want?"

"I'm here to help you find your way around, of course! Most new students get lost on their first few days so they had me, a high class student, to lead them to where they need to go!" She rambles.

"Yeah yeah... where can I go for my schedule? " I then decided that I might amuse myself. So under my breath I said, "And were can I find all the cute guys?"

I don't think she heard the last part since she just huffed.  "Just follow me onto the lobby!" She said walking down a pathway.

I could smell a distinct scent of magic off of her and snickered. "Thanks witchy!" I smiled at her deviously.

She just looked back at me with annoyance in her eyes. She sighs and smiles again.  "Just... follow..."

"Will do! But don't you need to fly there on your brom?" I started giggling at her.

She growls but smiles at me again.  "No, I can walk perfectly fine, thanks."

"If you say so." I say following her towards the lobby.
