Sitting together in a room with Lys was fine, but too much quiet can drive a girl crazy. Lys stared warily at Ansel, not sure if the girl was crazy or not. She had heard tales from some people in the desert. Suddenly, not able to take the silence anymore, Ansel spoke up, "Lys, say something. I can't take this silence anymore."

Still looking at the girl, she decided it was safe and that this girl was not patient. "Hi, hello Ansel. How are you?"

At that moment, Aedion decides to come out of his room and sit down next to Lys.
He kisses her on the cheek and glares at me. I am only confused, why is he glaring at me? Then remembering Lys's question earlier, I replied, "I'm fine, thanks."

Aedion, puts his arm protectively around  Lys as if I had threatened her. Seeing the look in his eyes, he looked like he was afraid I was going to harm Lys.

"I'm not going to harm her Aedion. And I don't ever want to."

Lys only shoves Aedion off her and crosses her arms and looks at me. "Yeah, she's not going to harm me Aedion, drop your arms. And also, I can protect myself just fine if she does decide to attack me."

Lys turned into a ghost leopard just to prove it.

"Fine," Aedion grumbled, "but I still don't trust her."

Everything stopped. Just stopped at what Aedion said. I turned my head slightly to stare Aedion in the eye. "What?" I said. It sounded like a growl. Lys only sits back and stares at her nails. Aedion crosses his arms and looks me in the eyes and says each word slowly, "I said, I. Don't. Trust. You."

"And why don't you trust me?" I asked, trying to keep the snarl out of my voice.

Aedion only replies coolly, "Because you betrayed my cousin Aelin. Or as you know her, Celaena."

At that, I did snarl at him. Lys only sits further into the couch and Aedion only glares at me harder.

Thinking of something brilliant to say, I look to Lys. She only smiles and points to herself and mouths, trust. I smile.
"Well, if Lys trusts me, then you do you think you have a choice?" Trying to keep the snarkiness out of my voice.

Aedion only grumbles and says whatever. Having a feeling that I won, I sat back. But then feeling bored without the other males company. "Hey Lys?" Lys perks up, "Yeah?" Ignoring Aedion completely.

"Do you miss playing with Rowan?"

She look at Aedion and then answered, "Yeah, I do. Even he," pointing at Aedion, "Gets boring sometimes."

Aedion only looks at Lys, clearly offended. Pouting at Lys, "But what about me, did you miss me?"

Lys looked at him for a moment before replying.

"Yes, of course I missed you." She sounded exasperated. "But you weren't here the other day and I was drinking with Rowan and Ansel here."

"And we went shopping," I added.

And with that said, Aedion only frowns. Realizing something, he looks at Lys. "Wait, did you go lacy shopping without me?" Clearly angry.

Lys only looked at Aedion as innocently as possible. "Hey, Lys? I'm gonna go grab the chocolate we got yesterday." Walking into the kitchen room, I was happy to escape from all the tension in the other room.

Remembering to bring Lys the chocolates and to show Aedion all the magnificent sweets we had bought. Bringing out a black box with a pink ribbon and a silver box with a blue ribbon.

Putting the boxes on the table, I opened the silver one. I took a chocolate from the middle that was covered in a red glaze. I popped it into my mouth and savored the taste. The chocolate was light and the juice inside the chocolate exploded in my mouth. It tasted a little of cherry but extremely good. Oh how she loved the flavor of chocolate.

She made to grab another chocolate, but, she heard  a sound come from the living room. She closed the box and picked them both up to bring them to Lys and Aedion. She entered the room to see Lys quietly talking to Aedion. She stood at the door frame and knocked on it. They both looked up immediately, both slightly blushing.

"Here are the chocolates that we," looking pointedly at Lys, " went out to shop for."

Aedion only looked confused for a moment before regaining his composure and was mad again. "So did you or did you not go lacy shopping with me?"

I walked over to sit in the love seat while they had already occupied the couch. I out the boxes down on the table in front of them. Lys, signaled for me to open the silver one. I opened it and took another chocolate. Lys took one as well. She looked at Aedion, as innocently as she could again.

"So, you did didn't you?" He asked.

Lys took a chocolate and gave it to Aedion to eat but he didn't. Chocolates had only worked on Aelin he told us. And so, seeing that giving chocolates couldn't work, she shifted into a puppy and gave Aedion the saddest face as she could. Aedion only stared at her for a second before looking away.

Seeing that puppy eyes didn't work as well, she shifted into a cat and pranced to her bedroom door. Aedion, looked like something had angered him and looked like a tea kettle on the verge of exploding. I only sat there on the seat and watches everything amusingly while eating chocolate.

Aedion, grumbled about having a dinner with Gavriel and that he couldn't miss it, he stumbled out. Lys, only sat at her bedroom door. She shifted back into human. "He didn't even say good bye," she sniffled.

Lys shifted into a cat again and pranced over to sit on my lap. I stroked her head for a while.
