Will was sitting upon his tree, pondering what the baron had said. He couldn't wait till tomorrow, he had to see that note now. It was driving him crazy! He desperately wanted to go look at the note, but if he got caught up in the barons office, he would be done for. No battle school, no friends, just a farmer. And that's if he got lucky! Earlier in the night he had his mind set on getting it, but Will chickened out. He couldn't do this.

Will sloppily got up from his perch on the tree and moped his way down to his bed. He would be a farmer forever.

                                       .....

Will was currently up in the barons office, but not to steal the note.  He was there to figure out his future. The baron walked in and Will was confused at the disappointment written across his face so clearly.

Once again Will noticed a certain Ranger slip through the door.

"I'm sorry, Will, but I have made the decision that you are to become a farmer. We wish you the best in your new life." The baron spoke up.

Despair crashed into Will like a massive wave. He felt like he couldn't breath, like he was drowning. Halt must have noticed his distress and felt bad for he slipped out the door with a sad expression covering his face.

Will was to be a farmer. And he couldn't do that. Will had an idea. It was a reckless spit second decision, but Will had to do it. He was going to run away.

Will was so caught up in his thoughts he almost missed what the baron had said.

-at 7:00 in the morning tomorrow, make sure your bags are packed up."

"Yessir!" Will hurriedly chocked out and retreated to his room to pack. But not for the reason baron arald thought.

That would be the last anyone ever saw of Will, the now to be farmer.
