Fish Out Of Water..

Next Morning

3rd Person POV

Erica woke up smiling at the jar of sardines from last night. She woke up heaven and they smiled and giggled at it. "That was so awesome.." said Erica. "I know right.." said heaven. They then hear some strange machine outside. "What in the world is that?" asked Erica. They went on the balcony and saw them draining the pool. "Oh no! This is bad! This is so bad!" shouted the girls running outside. "What did you do?!" they shouted to the man draining it. "I drowned the pool..." he said confused. They looked in the water and didn't see the mermaid. "She's not in there." said heaven. "But how could she just...get out?" asked Erica. They heard some rattling in a shed nearby and ran over to it. They unlocked it and when they opened it the mermaid jumped up and almost hit them with a tennis racket.

She was naked. They screamed and started laughing. "Oh it's you?" she said relieved. "You scared the salt out of me! I thought you were that man with that stupid scary...sucking machine!" she shouted. "I just about got turned inside out!" she said frowning. "How did you get in here?!" asked Erica. "I used these!" said the mermaid lifting up a leg. She fell into some floaties and laughed.

"Wow.." said the girls surprised. "I know! My very own pair!" she shouted happily. "Oh! And check this out!" she said turning around and showing them her butt. "Woah!" they said covering their eyes and she giggling. "Isn't it cute!?" she said smiling. "It's um...big.." said heaven laughing.

"And I can sit on it!" she said smiling. "Hey we gotta get you out of here..you're going to get seen!" shouted heaven. "Wait you need to give her your t-shirt.." said Erica. "No. My bathing suits like boy-repellent. What if we see Terrence?" whispered heaven. "It's your bathing suit or her birthday suit." said Erica. Heaven groaned and rolled her eyes taking off her shirt. She threw the shirt at the mermaid and she smiled.

They heard some bumping and trashing and soon she came out with the t-shirt around her.

"No you're supposed to put your arms through the arm holes...through.." said the girls. "Ahh.." said the mermaid smiling the took the sleeves and wrapped them around her neck. "Woah..." said the girls in shock.

"Dang That's Cool.." said heaven..

They took her back to ericas house and the first thing she did was start to jump on the bed. "I don't understand how you can sleep on these when they're so...jumpy!" she shouted giggling. They had to get her a pile of gummy worms because she kept begging them to. "I could do this ALL day!" she shouted happily. "What on earth are you girls doing up there?!" they heard ericas grandma shout. "You really need to stop! My grandma's gonna be so mad at us!" said Erica. "You worry to much.." said the mermaid jumping around. "I rest my case." said heaven sitting down on the bed and Erica scoffed. The mermaid plopped down on the bed giggling. "I LOOOVE legs!" she shouted happily. "Do you get to keep them?" asked Erica curiously. "Technically we only get to keep them when the sun's out and we have to keep them dry. At least that's what I heard, I've never had the guts to come out and try them?!" she said smiling. "So this is your first time..ashore?" asked heaven. "First time on land and first time with legs!" she shouted lifting both of them up and smiling. "But I have to be really careful. Little bit of water, instant tail." said the mermaid. "Look what I can do!" she said kicking Erica on her butt and she almost fell. "Stop that.." she said laughing. Then out of nowhere, a huge shell sitting on ericas desk started to ring. The mermaid groaned and slumped on the bed. "Crabs. They found me." the said rolling her eyes. "Through a shell?" asked Erica and the mermaid nodded. "Did you know you could hear the ocean through these?" she asked the girls and they nodded. "Yeah but i- "it works both ways.." said the mermaid answering it like a phone. "The ocean can hear you too.." she said putting it to her ear. "Uh...dad?" she asked. "JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!" her dad gurgled into the phone. "Oh...shellphone.." said heaven laughing. "Um...can you guys give me a minute." said the mermaid. "Sure.." they said awkwardly and getting up going to the balcony. "But that's your plan! Not mine! I don't want to marry some spolied...rich...SQUID!" she shouted angrily into the shell. "Well you can make all the storms you want! But I'm not coming back!" she shouted and at that moment the girls saw a storm forming outside in an instant. "No dad love is NOT a myth it's real!" she shouted as the storm got bigger. "You think her father is doing this!?" asked heaven to Erica. "I'll prove it to you! If I'm wrong then I'll honor your plans! I promise I'll call you every night ok so CALM. DOWN." she said hanging it up and then the storm died down and eventually left. She walked out the the balcony where the girls were. "I HAVE to find love. We don't have it where I'm from. If I don't find it in 10 days then I'm sunk!" she shouted. "You don't have love?" asked Erica. "No. My dad thinks it's just a myth. We marry who our parents pick. My parents think I have bubbles in my brain because I believe in love. He said the only way I can get out if my wedding is if I can PROVE to him that love exists...but that means I only get 10 days..oh else I'll be swimming down the aisle with that..ugh with that...blowfish!" she shouted angrily. "But if you don't have love...how do you know it exists?" asked heaven. "Because I saw it once. With a...man I think they're called..that I saved the other day. He was perfect...and I want it.." she said and they smiled. They then sees Terrence over in the water surfing. "With him.." she said smiling. "Terrence?!" the girls shouted at the same time. "Terrence..." she said smiling and licking her lips at him watching him as he ran shirtless on the beach. "Ah..Terrence is the one I love.." she said grinning. "NO!" shouted the girls at the same time in agony. She nodded and turned and ran through their bedroom to run down stairs to talk to him. "NO!" the girls shouted running after her. She ran outside and up to him as he stood underneath a beach shower washing the sea salt off of him. "Terrence! Terrence!" she shouted running over to where he was as the girls watched from a distance.

"Yeah?" he asked turning around. "Hi.." she said smiling at him. "Hey.." he said showing an awkward smile back.

"Do you love me?" she asked him smiling. He looked confused and turned off the water. "Uh...no...but I think you're hot. Really hot.." he said grinning.

"Yo man come the beach house is going off let's go!" shouted his friends. "Yeah I know!" he shouted back. "So I guess I'll see you later.." he said winking at her and running to get in the car and he watched her as they drove off. She scoffed and walked off. The mermaid walked back over to the girls saddened. "What? He doesn't love me?" she asked herself. "How can he NOT love ME?" she asked herself slumping in a hammock. "Ugh I need some salt." she said annoyed. "What did he say?" asked erica and heaven. "He said I was hot! Do I feel hot to you?" she asked Erica grabbing her arm and putting it to her forehead. "I don't think he meant it that way- "you have to get him to fall in love with me. You have to help me." said the mermaid. "No way!" said Erica. "Terrence is wayy to popular..maybe you should go after someone else." said heaven. "Yeah..all of the girls are after him. Even a few boys." said Erica. "Fine. Then you don't get your WISH." said the mermaid getting up. "A wish!? Wait what wish?!" they both asked. "You know..if you help a mermaid you..get a wish. Any wish you could wish for." she said shrugging. "I thought that was genies.." said Erica. The mermaid started laughing. "You believe in genies?!" she asked them laughing and they gave her a look. "Well..what if our wish involves other people..?" asked Erica. "Yeah...like my mom?" asked heaven. "It's a wish. Any wish. As long as it doesn't violate the laws of nature.." said the mermaid. The girls smiled and started squealing. "We can help we can help!" they shouted happily and she smiled awkwardly. "Just so you know..this is a huge sacrifice for us...giving up Terrence?!" asked heaven. "Oh! So you know him pretty well?" asked the mermaid. "Pfft yeah we know Terrence perfectly." said Erica. "Yeah really well." said heaven. "Like terryologists.." said Erica. "Good. But he HAS to say that he loves me. Otherwise I won't have proof for my dad and you don't get your wish. Deal?" she asked them. "Deal." said heaven. "...deal." said Erica. "Yay! My names Taraji! Now let's go find TERRENCE!" she said squealing and running away. "You need shoes!" shouted heaven running after her. "Yeah! And panties!" shouted Erica running behind them...
