Back in Ponyville, Pinkie tells her friends that her cutie mark is glowing. They all look at theirs and their cutie marks are glowing too. Twilight tells Spike to write a letter to Celestia asking what's going on. Spike writes down the letter and sends it as Celestia instinctly sends one back telling them "I'm hearing news that somewhere out of Equestria, a baby was born. I'm also hearing it was a baby lion." She explains what a lion is and excloses a picture of Mufasa "They may need help so I have set up a train to go to Africa. Be careful Twilight as they may not all be friendly." Meanwhile In Africa, Simba is now a cub and is playing around with Nala. The two head to an area that Mufusa told him to never go to, The Outlands. Simba gets confronted by three hyenas who threaten to eat him up. Mufasa rushes in and beats them up. Nala walks away. Mufasa tells Simba to get on the Pride Rock. Mufasa and Simba talk as back in Ponyville Twilight and the other ponies get ready to go to Africa.
