Chapter 18: The Number

Ruby's Pov: Port's class.

We sat in class bored. Professor Port wasn't teaching a lesson and there was nothing to do. Blake was reading and Weiss was studying. Yang isn't here today due to mom wanting yang to do extra training.

I saw it again, Yang's number on her hand. I know what it is, what it means, where it came from, and why it's there. A piece of paper slipped infront of me. I looked over, Blake was looking at me now. I looked at the paper.

What's with the number on yang's hand? It wasn't there before.

I thought about telling her. But I know I should tell Blake. I quickly wrote down an explanation

Blake's Pov:

Ruby handed me the paper and I looked at it.

It's a long story. But I'll shorten it, this involve Gambol again. Yang never let's Gambol out of her sight when me and her were with sora and masae in hyrule. Well yang was captured by this guy named Zant. She gave me Gambol before hand.

He demanded to know how she was able to unlock Gambol's ability. Yang refused to tell him anything. So he torchered her till she told him. She never gave in no matter what.

When me and the others arrived where yang was held captive, she was beaten up pretty bad. The number one was on her hand and has been there ever since.

I stared at the paper reading it over a few times. I saw weiss looking too. "Where we're you guys exactly?" Asked weiss looking at ruby. Ruby sighed, "Yang and I knew about the demensions. Just we've seen one over the summer. Hyrule is the Legend of Zelda demension."

We listened as she talked about somethings. The bell rang and we left to our dorms to rest. We saw yang asleep on her bed we decided to get dressed. Ruby went to her own bed to lay down as did weiss. I just sat on my bed and read.

After about an hour or so I heard yang's bed creak. I glanced up from my book. Yang hopped down from her bed then went to the bathroom. I saw that number again. Now I know what it was ment for. I set my book under my pillow. I Layed down to go to bed.

I heard footsteps as yang walked over to our bunk beds. She stopped at my bed, "Hey kitten, you awake?" I looked up and see her looking at me, "Yep" "can I lay down with you?" She asked and I nodded. She layed beside me and I cuddled up to her.

"Yang?" I said looking at her. "Yes kitten?" Yang responsed looking at me. "Ruby told me about the number on your hand...." she frowned slightly, her eyes turned red. It started to scare me, my ears flatten. Yang seemed to notice, "sorry Blakey, I just.....I don't like talking about it...."

I nodded and dropped the subject. I snuggled closer to yang and slowly fell asleep.
