Tom woke the next morning to find that he laid in bed... alone. He shivered at the slightest from the sudden burst of cool air. He figured Matt must've turned on the ac again. He hated that. He lay there for a few moments, thinking about Tord. As much as he wanted to know what Tord's nightmare was about, Tom knew he'd never tell. It must've been something too personal to discuss. Tom sighed in defeat.

The Brit walked through the hallway. Passing by several pictures hung up on the wall, he caught Matt in the corner of his eye. Messing with the ac again, what a surprise. He thought sourly.

"G'morning Tom! Slept well?" Matt turned to him with a happy smile, completely oblivious of Tom's thoughts. "Meh, could've been better." He walked passed the ginger, sluggishly making his way into the kitchen. Matt went back to fucking up the ac again, setting it to 60°F.

There, Edd stood next to the refrigerator, sipping on a cup of coffee. "Hey Edd."

"Morning, surprised to see you up this early."

Tom looked at the clock above the doorway, reading 8:32. He gave a small grunt in response. He walked over to the coffee pot, making himself a cup. Tom shivered again as he felt cold air blast from the ac. He looked at Edd. His expression just read, done. "Agh! Didn't you tell Matt not to fuck with the ac again?"

"Yes, but he woke up before me and he's been doing it since then. I woke up sweating. He wouldn't listen to anyone, even if his life depended on it." He growled. "Anywho, how's Tord coming along?" He realized that he was talking about the lessons. "Oh, um. He's coming along great. I think he's really getting the hang of it. He's a quick learner." Edd nodded in approval.

It was silent for a few moments. Tom finished adding the sugar in his coffee, Edd silently sipping on his coffee. "Shit," Tom cursed under his breath as a teaspoon of sugar drifted into the floor. Edd chuckled. Just as Tom was about to clean his mess, the air suddenly went heated. The ac shut off again, and this time the heater was turned on. Tom and Edd looked at each other with the same expression, done.

"I should go stop him," Edd said half to himself as he walked out of the kitchen. Tom silently giggled as he saw the green hooded figure leave the room.

He finally fixed his coffee and decided to look for his student. Tom went to each room and called out for Tord, but to no avail. After a 20 search, he finally gave up. He probably wasn't even home, Tom decided. He made his way to the porch, then froze as he looked out the window. There stood the missing Norwegian, wordlessly looking off into the distance and fiddling with a smoking cigar. He looks so calm...

Tord jumped in surprise as he heard the door open behind him, but he never turned around. "Hey, I was looking for you,"

"Well," Tord said gently, "you found me." He heard Tom sigh as he walked up beside the Norwegian, leaning against the railing. The two remained silent as they looked off into the morning distance.

"So," Tom started, "you don't even wanna talk about it?"

"Talk about what?"

"You know what... your... y-your..." Tom's voice started to fade. Tord looked over with his silver eyes full of concern.

"My?"

"Situation..." He finished. The red figure went silent for a few moments before taking another puff from his cigar. "It's... heh.. really nothing to worry about..." He then laughed nervously. Tom looked into his silver eyes. Black on silver.

Tord jolted as he felt an arm wrap around his shoulders. Her regretfully stared back at Tom. He could see the worry in his void for eyes. He let a stressful sigh escape his lungs. The cigar smoke burned at the slightest as his breath left him. "I... had a feeling you were going to say that. I can tell you're worried about something. You don't have to tell me what, but I hate seeing you wake up in the mornings not being able to even speak without crying your eyes out."

"I promise you, I'll be alright. You really don't have to be worried. I... have always had an issue with nightmares, ever since I can remember. It's just a thing that happens to me." He hated lying to the person he was closest to, but if it was worth seeing Tom lighten up a bit, he'd take any chance he's got.

"Oh, alright. I never knew it was just a you thing."

"Yeah, I guess I forgot to mention that when we met, I guess it became so normal that I just forgot about it. Sorry for making you worry so much,"

Tom quietly laughed, which made Tord grin, too. "You have nothing to be sorry about. I understand now. Thanks, Tord." Tom then wrapped both arms around Tord, pulling him close. Tord soon hugged back, dropping his cigar off the balcony. "Dammit," Tord cursed under his breath as he saw his cigar turn into a speck as it flew to the ground, landing in the wet grass below them. "Ah, you didn't need that thing anyways, you have me." Tom purred teasingly. "Haha, very funny." Tord sneered as he playfully ran his fingers through Tom's hair. Tom giggled.
