Mauve was always quiet. Never talked back. Straight A student. But one day, she gets a text from her step dad.
Mauve, come home asap.
She grabs her books and gets into her car and heads home. As she pulls up to her typically quiet street, she can hear the ambulance and police cars. She parks her car and runs go find her step dad, Max.
"Max! What the hell happened?!"
"Mauve she just fell and I...I..."
Max's voice trails off when he sees the gurney. A white sheet, with the faint outline of his words perfect body.
"Vera! No!", screams Max.
"M....mom..."
