"Well, at least the drinks taste good." Chuckling, Mark looks behind us, only for him to stop dead in his tracks, eyes wide.
"What is it? Don't tell me it's him." I say.
"It's him." He replies, his eyes locked on something behind me.
Okay, Sofia, relax.
Mark's gaze flicks over to me, and I nod slightly, signaling that I'm ready for whatever lies ahead.
He stares into my eyes as he leans forward, and I notice how he still smells of caffeine from our coffee run earlier, and how his hair swoops over the side of his face, right next to his eye, until his lips brush against mine.
A moment later, he wraps his arms around my waist and presses my back against the wall next to us, deepening the kiss. I pull away, shocked.
"Mark, what the hell?!" I exclaim.
"I lied," He whispers, still pressed up against me, his breath tickling my skin. "He isn't there." With that, he saunters down the hallway and through the doors, back to the heart of the party.
Well, shit.
