"Yes. The meeting will be at 2:00 PM sharp. Please, don't keep me waiting."
JUMIN HAN'S POV
2:30 PMSighing lowly to myself, my attention fixated on the large pile of paperwork that was on my desk.
As always, I was irritated. Highly irritated. The man was thirty minutes late, when I specifically told him to be here by 2:00 PM. How hard is it, to be punctual? My father told me good things about him aswell.
I was forced out of my thoughts, as somebody began knocking loudly against my door - then rushing into my office.
It was a young, flustered and very frantic woman.
Jaehee hurried in after her, opening her mouth to speak but the other - intruding - woman had already began to explain herself.
"A-Ah! I'm so sorry, Mr.. Han? Yes.. yes Mr Han! I, I got lost on my way to your building.. and, I just.. had to hurry into your office.. as I was, late enough already.."
Me, clearing my throat loudly, causes the girl to fall silent, and to bow her head respectfully.
Her light-brown hair falls in front of her flushed face, her hands tightly gripping onto the large file that she was holding.
"Who exactly are you? Yes, I am Mr Han." My voice was stern as I spoke, eying the young woman up and down. A small smirk gracing my features as I saw that her head was bowed.
She was a young, petite woman. Her skin slightly pale. Covering her body, was a large grey jacket - which, was unzipped, revealing her black suit jacket, and white blouse. The blouse was tucked into her - also black - pencil skirt, which sat on her waist, traveling down to just above her stocking covered knees. Atleast she was well dressed, whoever she was.
"Oh god! I mean.. gosh! Sorry! I didn't.. introduce myself! My name is Y/N Yang. M-Mister Yang's daughter.. he requested that I met you today. He was unable, as well.. Yeah.."
As well.. Yeah? I quickly nod in understanding, the man was ill. He was unfit to leave the hospital. Gosh, I can't believe I had forgotten.
"You may raise your head, Miss Yang. It is nice to meet you, I understand why you were so late. So, should the meeting commence now?"
She raises her head again, staring towards me with wide eyes.
I couldn't help but notice how attractive the woman was. Her rosy red cheeks brought out her bright-green eyes. Her light-brown bangs framed her slim face, with a single strand resting against her button-like nose.
I frown to myself as I realise that I had been staring, not even focusing on what she had been saying.
"Mr Han?" Jaehee speaks up, "Y/N said yes."
A small, unfamiliar blush coats my cheeks as I nod once again.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Oh, Miss Yang? Please do refer to me as Jumin. Is it okay if I refer to you by your first name too?" Regaining my professional attitude.
"Okay, Jumin. Yes, that is fine.. I have my father's business file here, he was wondering if you'd take a look at it?" As she spoke, she began to approach my large desk. I stand, brushing myself down and putting an arm out to take the file. She hands me it, her own arm - and hand - shaking slightly, this only increasing as her fingers brushed against my own.
I allow my hand to linger for a moment, before putting the large file down on my desk, gesturing towards the seat opposite me.
"Sit down, Y/N, would you like a drink? Coffee perhaps?" I ask her, still remaining serious, and professional.. but, oddly enough I had already warmed up to her. I couldn't be cold with her, as I usually was.
"Y-Yes please, could I have a coffee? ..please?"
As she responds, I gesture to Jaehee to make the coffee - she already knew that I'd have one aswell.
Then, looking back to the female who was sat in front of my desk.
I always knew Mr Yang had a daughter, but I never knew I'd become acquainted with her.
For once, business has its true perks.
