After Andy and Ashley got ready, they hit the road.
"How long's the trip?" Andy asked, after about an hour of driving.
"Five, six hours?" Ashley replied, eyes focused on the road.
"Can we stop to eat?"
"Didn't you eat earlier?"
"I forgot to."
Ashley sighed and took the nearest exit. He pulled into a slightly busy McDonald's.
"Okay. Let's get food." Ashley said, suddenly hungry.
There were less people in the restaurant than Ashley and Andy thought. They did receive a couple of weird looks, but nobody approached them, or flipped them off, or did anything that would be classified as overly rude.
"Where are we even going?" Andy asked, chewing his food.
"Missouri." Ashley replied, telling himself that it would be rude to scold Andy for chewing with his mouth wide open.
Andy swallowed. "Okay!"
Ashley and Andy finished their luxurious McDonald's meal, then got back onto the road.
Andy fell asleep about three hours into the ride, and Ashley almost wrecked because he couldn't take his eyes off of Andy.
