Anna freaked and ran behind a big bush, swooping bowser off his feet on the way, hiding yet watching through a tiny little gap that she could just about see through. She heard footsteps, fast paced footsteps but not running footsteps, she studied the sound, thinking hard to see if they were familiar to her.
She couldn't say she heard them before but they kind of sounded like, like off a movie. What if it was someone looking for her? What if it was someone dangerous? Could it just be John the jogging obsessed 32 year old or maybe the police going through with their investigation? Whatever it was she had a bad, bad feeling about it. As the terrifying, mysterious footsteps came closer, she began to see a black uniform and second by second she got a better picture of who it was, it was the police, 3 strong men armed and shouting her name. Once they had passed she could finally breathe. Just as she was about to get up.... Of course mr jogging obsessive John had to jog by almost seeing Anna. Luckily he didn't, it was very close but she could finally breathe a sigh of relief.
As she quietly yet quickly got up bowser escaped from her arms, running off back into the distance, she hugged him so tight she wasn't surprised he was so ready to run off like that, it was at this point Anna realised that this was serious, very serious.
The next morning, Anna woke up, she slept surprisingly well for a night on a cold, hard outdoor floor. She woke up to bowser next to her, still fast asleep. She stroked his head and left him sleep for 15 minutes while she got herself ready for another day of walking and hiding. This wasn't going to be as easy as she thought, just then an awful thought came into her head, if the police did find her.. What would she say, obviously everyone would want to know what happened especially her family, should she just stand in front of them and tell them she hated school and had to get away from it so badly she made a bad choice or does she lie and say she had been taken?? While she walked she thought, what would she say?? What would her family say? Questions, more and more of them by the second, that's all Anna could fit into her mind recently, just questions, what bugged her most is she could hardly ever find an answer.
