"Gigi could you pass the salt?" my little sister Gabi asked. "Here," I said passing it to her. I was at my parents' house having Sunday dinner which was a tradition in the Williams household. My mama threw down in the kitchen, she could cook anything from soul food to Mexican. "Damn ma this good!" My brother Gianni said as he gobbled down his food. "Watch yo' moth boy!" my father Gerald warned. My youngest brother Gabriel laughed. Times like this reminded me of when we were younger. Gianni & I were twins with me being 10 minutes older, Gabi came second, & Gabriel was the baby. "How's school sis?" I asked Gabi before taking a bite out of my macaroni and cheese. "Stressful, but Jason has the same classes as me making it really easy for me." Jason was Gabi's husband who she just married last month. Guess who was the maid of honor with no man? You guessed it, yours truly. "Oh okay that's good." I was proud of my sister, she was on her way to be a nurse. "I saw that touchdown last week Gianni, my boy!" My dad exclaimed. "Thanks Pops, it was so crazy." Gianni was a wide receiver for the Atlanta Falcons.  "Aye bro when you gon hook me up wit some season tickets?" Gabe said. "I got you lil bro." Gianni reassured. "Gianni where is Brielle?" I asked Gianni. Brielle  was Gianni's fiancé who was pregnant was ever. Only 5 months and she was huge! "She's at home she wasn't feeling good so I told her to stay home." I nodded. "When's the baby shower? I can't wait." my mother said peeking her head from around the corner. "July 8th. I'm excited for this gender reveal. I want a boy so bad." I could tell Gianni was genuinely excited. "Aw I want a girl!" Gabi said. "It doesn't matter cus it not your baby," Gianni teased, sticking his tongue out at Gabi. "Shut up, that's why your baby is going to be a girl." Gianni and Gabi were always picking with each other I don't know why. "So how's work Ms. CEO?" My dad asked. Aw jeez, here we go. "Um, fine dad. Just been real busy with that new building we just put downtown." I said before taking a bit out of my macaroni & cheese. "You know how proud of you I am," he gloated. "Yes Daddy," He smiled.

Lord know I want to quit this job but letting my daddy down isn't an option. After dinner, we all helped wash the dishes & clean up the kitchen. "Well y'all I gotta get going, Brielle's having her cravings again. Jesus I can't wait for this baby to come already." he sighed putting on this jacket. "I'm right behind you Gi," I said. "Bye everyone," I gave everyone their hugs and left out with Gianni. "What are you doing this weekend?" I asked as we walked to our cars. "The team is having this big ass party on Friday," he replied. "Sounds fun," I smiled sheepishly. "Before you even ask, no you can't come." I groaned. "Why?!" I really didn't even want to go I just wanted to see if he  was going to invite me. Yes, I am that petty. "No, it's too wild & you might see some things you don't want to see." He said sounding like he was the  older one. "Last time I checked, I was the big sister, and boy you act like I'm some innocent little puppy." I explained. "Only by 10 minutes," I rolled my eyes. "Please Gianni?" I pouted. "Fine whatever Giovanna." He scoffed. "Thank you Geebee," I hugged him tightly, calling him his childhood nickname. "Yeah yeah," he hugged me back and kissed me on my forehead. "Be safe Gigi," He warned as I walked to my car. "You too Geebee," I said before closing the door.

20 minutes later, I arrived back home. Baby attacked me as soon as I walked through the door, excited that his mommy was home. "Hi Baby," I cooed, stroking his fur. He licked my face and ran off into my room. I gathered my clothes and got ready to take a shower. I grabbed my phone and searched for a playlist. Unforgetful by Tory Lanez began to blast from my bluetooth speakers. "I remember the first days, and the worst days, and the first days," he sang. I turned the water on and stripped out of my clothes. I got in, scrubbed my body, and washed my hair. After all of that, I dried my body and threw a t-shirt over my wet hair. I threw my pajamas, and twisted my curly hair into little twists. I put my scarf & jumped in the bed.

I sat down in my chair behind my desk and closed my eyes. I hear knock at the door. "Come in," I said. "Ms. Williams, Mr. Johnson from Chase is on the phone," my assistant Courtney said. "Oh God,"I mumbled to myself. Mr. Johnson was the building manager for Chase bank, the building we were currently building. "Yes, hello Mr. Johnson. How are you?" I said putting on my best professional voice. "I would be great but, unfortunately, your architects have failed to build the place we agreed to in our meeting last month." This man was no joke and he was about his money. "Come again?" I asked. "The structure and design we discussed in or meeting, is not present." I felt my stomach drop into my ass. "I was definitely not aware of this. I truly apologize Mr. Johnson. Is there anything I can do to make up for this?" I pleaded. "Just please get on it." He was being too generous, if I was him I would've already hired a new contractor. "Thank you so much I definitely will." My heart was beating so fast. "I'll be looking forward to it. Good day." he said before hanging up. "Courtney get Dave and James in here, now." She nodded and returned five minutes later with the idiots responsible for fucking up the plans. I rolled my eyes at the new architects who I had hired last month. "I'm sorry Ms. Williams," Dave, one out of the two I had just hired. "Don't be sorry just fix the damn plans! Do you know how much this is gonna cost us?" Usually I wouldn't be this hard on one of my employees but how could somebody be this damn stupid? "How the hell did y'all mess up the plans?!" I screamed. "They got mixed up with the first blueprints," James, the other one explained. "Who did that- You know what, I don't even want to know. Fix this, immediately." I sighed. They nodded their heads and walked out.  Jesus Christ, this is gonna be a long week.
