I wake up in the morning to the lovely smell of waffles, I figured mom would cook for me. I'm moving in with my dad today so I figured she'd do some for a goodbye. She's probably going to say something like "before you leave we need to have some quality time together." Not that we ever spent time together up until now.
I walked downstairs to get me some food. As I walked around the corner i see Kiara laying on my couch. I have forgotten she stayed the night for my going away party. None of my other "friends" showed up. Just her, she's always had my back though I hate it that I'm leaving her. But I have to get out of this house and away from my step dad.
I walk over to Kiara to try to wake her up she's not even budging. "Kiara you better wake up i leave in 5 hours" I yelled in her ear. She still did not budge, I swear she could sleep through a hurricane.
"Whatever Kiara I'll make you a plate for when your lazy ass wakes up." I walked into the kitchen to see mom wearing a fake ass smile on her face. "Good morning hun, glad to see you're finally awake so I can spend some time with you.." she paused for a moment then sadly said "You know I'm really going to miss you October." I just kind of rolled my eyes and said "Today is supposed to be a good day, don't ruin it okay mom?"I fixed my plate and walked over to Kiara who is still sleeping. I waved the golden waffles in front of her face and she popped right up. I laughed and said "haha I knew that'd get you up." She rubbed her eyes, grabbed her plate and began eating.
These hours went by really fast, it was 4pm dad is supposed to be here around 4:15. I grabbed my stuff and began to walk out the door. Kiara grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me into a hug. Tears were streaming down her soft pale face. "October do you really have to go, you're the only one I like in that in that school please don't leave please." I wiped the tears from her face and turned around and walked out side to where my dad was sitting in his old beat up truck.
I glanced over at my dad and said "Why did you drive this thing why not the Blazer?" "You know I drive this for special occasions, I'm getting you back it's a very special occasion dear."
I put my ear buds in and began listening to twenty one pilots as he drove off into my new life.
