I packed everything into my backpack then left the house. Hell, I didn't even know how long this "trip" would take.

Groaning in annoyance, I waited for the chauffeur to get the car ready. The decision was abrupt, with me merely giving him a heads up an hour earlier. The fifty year old man lived with his wife in some part of this big household and looked, to put frankly, flushed and his attire disarrayed when I asked for him to be prepared.

"Sir, please wait inside. The weather is bad," a house maiden called out. I looked at her then shifted my gaze to the sky. It was drizzling and I was only wearing my favourite black jacket -- which Aria had given me -- with the hoodie covering my head and to provide me the warmth from the unusually cold evening I required.

I nodded at her and noticed I was standing right in front of the shelter.

Such an idiot.

She lowered her head and walked off after I retreated a step back.

I met Declan at the entrance of Glasgow Airport.

"Hey, Adon!"

Turning to my right, I spotted him and gave him a side hug. He appeared to be excited.

"Why do you look so excited, Dec?" I asked flatly. He quirked an eyebrow which made girls swoon over every time. Well, my statement might not be true.

"Aren't you? I can finally get out of the freaking house. God, Adon, I swear my parents can't keep their hands off each other. I puked behind their backs. I don't think they even took note that I left the house," he shuddered and shook his head. I couldn't help but roar out in laughter at his childishness.

"So, you ready? There's no turning back," I warned him. Grinning at me, he shouted, "Ever ready!"

I shushed Declan, noticing several nearby tourists and locals glaring and laughing at us.

After checking in, we took our seats at the waiting area.

"How are you?" Declan questioned out of the blue.

I couldn't answer him. How am I? "I don't know."

"We don't need to do this, you know. Maybe bunny just needed some time to herself. To think or something. We can turn this 'adventure' into a holiday," he spoke nonchalantly.

Giving him a hard look, he raised his hands. "Sorry, man. Didn't mean it that way."

"Sure."

My response must have shocked him because he looked at me disbelievingly. He then countered, "It's true! I mean--" He let out a breath and his shoulders sagged down, giving up.

We lapsed into a comfortable silence.

--------------------

"Ladies and gentlemen, the plane is taking off in five minutes. Please ensure that your seat belts are fastened. Enjoy your flight." The pilot's voice could be heard through the announcement.

Declan smirked at me. "The girls over there are ogling at you."

He pointed at the stupid girls a few seats in front.

"I don't care."

Sighing, he changed his tactics to attract my attention.

"Let's study the sources, shall we?"

My, my. He had my full attention now.

I reached for my backpack and took out the diary. And some papers that might be useful.

Being Declan, he snatched the diary impatiently and started reading it from page one.

"How are you even sure she's in London? There's absolutely nothing here that suggests her whereabouts." It has been half an hour since we started.

I slipped the food into my mouth.

"She told me. She said she wanted to pursue her dream of being a dancer there."

"Why there? Why not Paris or anywhere else?"

Good question.

I shrugged and continued my dinner. Argh, airplane food sucks. I should have had dinner at home. Like Declan.

"I'll be getting some sleep. Wake me up when we reach," he adjusted himself comfortably and closed his eyes.

--------------------

We got out of London Airport and hired a cab.

"I enjoyed my flight," Declan commented, getting into the vehicle.

Ignoring him, I told the driver, "Take us to the Ritz Carlton."

Declan gaped at me. "Seriously? A five star hotel? We need to save, Adon. We don't even know how long we'll be staying!"

"Lower down your volume, Dec. And the fees are all covered."

He muttered, "Rich people."

I scoffed. "Aren't your parents too?"

He shut up. Finally.

Declan paid for the cab then we strolled into the grand hotel. At the reception, I said, "Booked under Adonis Holden."

Claire, the receptionist, typed into the computer. "A moment, please."

"Ah, yes, Mr Holden. Your room is ready. Here are the cards to access the room you've booked. Have a great stay." She handed over the necessary things with a professional smile.

"Thank you, Claire!" Declan beamed at her.

After we got into the room with a good overview of London, I changed and laid on the bed.

"I'm calling it a night."
