JULIENNA'S POV
"Bye mom, bye liz I'll miss u guys alot" I said with tears in my eyes.
"Come on Beth, don't cry. You really wanted to go abroad for higher studies didn't you?"
"Yea, but.... you know I wish they were here to see me and bid farewell"
"I know but they don't want you to be sad now. Do they? Now wipe those tears and get in the car before you miss your flight to California." I bid farewell and got into the car with my elder brother as he was accompanying me to the airport.
I'm Julienna by the way, I have chocolate brown hair till my shoulders. I wear glasses and I'm an Indian, South Indian to be precise. I live with my family in Kerala and I come from a middle-class family. Few months ago I got a letter from Westward High that I had passed the scholarship examination and got admission there. It's one of the most prestigious schools for the rich in California. Its only because I passed the exam that I get to attend Westward High. I really hope it'll be a new start for me. I take my phone out and play songs. I listen to them as I drift off to dreamland.
After a few minutes, I wake up and see that we've reached the airport. I get down the car while my brother goes to take the trolley to put the luggage.
"Bye Blakey Wakey," I said to my brother
"Bye Jules, Don't do anything stupid while you are there, I'll come to California after a month"
" k bye"
After bidding adieu to my dear Blakey Wakey, I check - in and then I go to the waiting lounge and wait for the flight. My flight is via Dubai, my favourite place of all times. I had the best moments of my life when I lived there and no matter where I go Dubai will always remain my favourite, no country or city can change that. I think that I love Dubai so much because I was born and brought up there till my 8th. I stop daydreaming when I hear the pre- boarding announcement.
"Good afternoon passengers. This is the pre-boarding announcement for flight A380 to Dubai. We are now inviting passengers, to begin boarding at this time. Please have your boarding pass and identification ready, Thank you."
I get into the flight and watch movies. After a few hours, I reach Dubai and then go to my connecting flight to California. California here I come....
