Likes A Journey

Today was a normal day for me and my family well at least I thought, My oldest sister Mesi left early morning with her mentor as for Lisa she was sleeping in as usual. Then theres me I was up bright and early watching tv cooking a good ol microwave breakfast for my mother who was sleeping like a queen in a king size bed, I made her favorite which was eggs with ketchup fried hot dogs and toast with grape jelly oh yeah can't forget about the tall cup of ice water . As I prep the food on the plate my moms phone ring of course it's my older cousin Angie calling to check up on my mother after hearing about her running out of oxygen in her machine as we were on our way back to Madison from Chicago the night before, Tried explaining to my cousin Angie  that everything was fine and my mother was doing great but she insisted I wake her up so she could speak to her so I did. After giving my mother the phone I told her I had prepared my famous breakfast for her and walked back into the kitchen to check on everything soon after that I started plating the food and moved it to the table, Shortly after that I began to walk to the back as I'm doing that I see Twinkles jump onto the table trying to eat the breakfast I turn to her and say "you silly cat you" then begin to fill her water and food tray. So of course me being me I decided to yell for my mother instead of going to get her just because I thought Twinkles would still get into the food due to the fact hot dogs were her favorite, As I'm calling for her I still get no response .... Hummm that's weird I begin to think to myself maybe she's really tired I walk to that back into her room and being to tap her telling her to wake up. She still laid their I became angry because I didn't know what to think but the worst MAMA MAMA MAMA MAMA WAKE UP ITS ME I MADE YOUR FAVORITE BREAKFAST but she laid their lifeless and I sat there screaming hoping this was just a nightmare, I ran to Lisa room yelling for her "LISA LISA WAKE UP MAMA NOT WAKING UP GET UP NOW!" Lisa then runs in the room shaking my mother senseless crying not knowing her soul was already gone. I then snatched her oxygen cord off of her nose and being giving her mouth to mouth as my sister was on the phone the police dispatcher who so happen to be asking a million and one question which was pissing me off , When the police arrived on scene they started questioning me and Lisa one by one then one EMT rep came out the house telling us her oxygen tank was cut off which was a lie and everyone knew that just due to the fact the night before she ran out of oxygen she was chewing on ice and sniffing honey until we got home to make sure she was hooked on to her oxygen tank correctly . Lisa then called our oldest brother Thad to tell him the horrific news who soon rushed to the scene it just so happens Mesi mentor was dropping her off and as soon as Mesi turned to see my mother in the ambulance she immediately bust into tears, After my mom was carried out on a stretcher all I remember was the ambulance pulling off while me Mesi, Thad, and Lisa watched crying drowning in our sorrow not know what life had in store for us from that day on .
