Today I died. I know I died because I am in a place I have never been, walking on a path I have never been--a place unlike any place on earth. Ahead, where the path splits, I see a man that I do not remember seeing before. He is a young man, but his back is bent as though he is very old. He is sitting on the only rock around, a large rock too, the rock is intersecting the paths. He is leaning forward on a gnarly cane.
As I approach he looks up at me. He then says "The path to your right leads to heaven; the path to your left, hell. Choose the path that leads to where you believe you should be. Don't worry about picking wrong because if you do, a messenger will be sent to bring you to where you do belong. If you do not pick then a messenger will still come." So I took the right path. It does not take long for me to come to a large white gate. I ask to be let in and I am. Everybody is happy.
Somebody greets me as though he has been expecting me. He asks me to follow him so I do. He leads me to a house and we enter. He invites me to sit down and offers me a beverage, I decline. He then shows me a video on him tabletop. The video is of the man I saw on the path in real time. "Do you know this man?" he asks.
"No, I do not remember seeing this man before. Why? Who is he?"
"I cannot tell you his name--he asked me not to."
"Who is he then?"
"He is a man who died when he was 30. He died completely and utterly alone, forgotten by everyone--in fact it is still unknown that he died. When he came to the split he chose the left path. He was rejected by hell, of course, since he belonged here, and I went to bring him here. He refused.
You cannot refuse hell, if you try you are dragged in. Nobody has refused heaven before him, and no one will after him. Ever since he has been sitting there directing everyone who comes by. He forced himself to suffer--he chose to suffer."
As he finished talking I see the man on the rock get up and start heading towards where I came from when I met him. "Where is he going?"
"He is going to the void."
"The void?"
"It is the place where he won't exist--it is the place for him to suffer forever."
I see him fall to the ground.
"Do you know this man?"
"No."
He starts to crawl.
As he touches the edge--
