"Sakura! Wake up, you're going to be late!" Pink haired girl shot up, her emerald orbs widened in alarm.
"Mom.... What's the time?" She slurs, looking at the blond woman through her pink lashes.
Mebuki signed, "It's almost 7:30," her eyes caught the sight of marks on her daughter's sides as she stretched, causing the shirt to rise up.
Sakura rubbed her eyes and saw her mother looking at her with sympathetic eyes, "Mom?" Her voice was didn't hid the confusion.
"Did you experienced something...." She trailed off.
"Did I experienced what?" Her eyes widened in excitement, "Are you going to tell me about my birthmarks? You always tell me that you will when I'm older." She didn't noticed that her mother's eyes saddened.
"Let's talk about it when you come back from the academy, alright?" She kissed her daughter's forehead, "Be strong, sweetheart." And left.
Sakura rubbed her eyes, "I can't believe that I'm finally graduating," her eyes shined in wonder, "I wish that I'm on Sasuke-kun's team." She squealed quietly.
She quickly got ready. As she walked downstairs, she heard her parents talking in hushed tone.
Giving into the curiosity, she stood behind the door, listening.
"You can't hide her away forever, mebuki." She heard heard her father say.
"Yes, I can." Was her mother's stubborn reply
She heard her father sigh. She could imagine the tired expression on his face, "They would find her. You know they would."
' Who would find who?' Inner asked.
'Don't know. Now shhhh.' She thought.
Her mother scoffed, "So what do you want me to do? Huh? Abandon her? She's our daughter, Kizashi! How can just say that. My poor girl doesn't even know what those marks symbolize." She peeped in the kitchen and saw her mother panting. Her face was scrunched up and she look like she's about to cry.
'What the hell is going on, outer? What does those marks mean anyways?'
'No idea. But mom did say that she'll tell us after we come from academy.' Sakura replied. She could mentally feel inner nodding.
She watched as her father got up and embraced her mother, "Never." Her father reassured, "We'll never abandon her. But she deserves to know. She needs to be ready for what is about to happen in her life." Kizashi rubbed his wife's back.
'Please tell me that it's not 'the talk'?' Inner shivered in fright.
'No. They already given that. Plus, why would they abandon me over it?' Sakura rolled her eyes.
'Thank god.' Inner sagged in relief.
"I'll tell her." She breathed in defeat, "I'll tell her when she returns."
Sakura decided to make herself known. She thumped on the hardwood floor, imitating her footsteps. And opened the door.
As expected, her parents smiled at her like they weren't talking about her a minute ago.
"Morning, peanut." Her dad said in a cheerful tone.
She plastered a convincing smile, Morning, papa. What were you guys talking about?" She feigned innocence.
Sakura pretended, she didn't noticed the panicked look her parents shot each other.
"Nothing really. I just made a hilarious pun but of course my awesome sense of humor was lost on her." Kizashi laughed nervously.
