Samantha Pov

I wish I could stab my eyes out. Why do we have to re-tell old wounds. I give Klaus a look that would put him six feet under, that is he could die!! "Enough of this foolishness Nik. I agreed to this dumb dinner, but I won't sit here and talk about thing that should stay in the bloody past!"

I say then get up to leave. "I'll see you two in a thousand years" I yelled out. Before I can reach the door Elijah is there, trying to stop me again! "Let me be Lijah.

You may think I can bring Klaus hope and love but I can't. That man there isn't the same person I married 1000 years ago. I am definitely not the same either. None of us are.

He then wipes his lips and

This relationship was doomed form the start and you knew and I knew." I say as I wiped my years away. I look at Klaus and finally has the guts to say something to him, after 1000 years of hiding from him and his family. "You don't believe me!

Klaus Pov

Flashback

My brother and I had got into another disagreement over the beautiful Tatia. He thinks that she will choose him over me, never. We share something that no one could ever understand.

Ah I see the beautiful Tatia walking towards me now. Whew is Elijah to see this! "Good Morning Niklaus. How is your day so far"? She asks so kindly, I don't even see her sister Samantha behind her. I compose myself before I make a fool out of myself. " My day was going okay but now it has brightened up very much"

I say. I hear Tatia giggle while Samantha gags. I give her a glare, while she just stares around like nothing happen. "Well I was wondering if you wanted to go for a walk?" I asked with hope in my eyes and in my voice.

She looks down and says " I wish I could but I promised my sister I would take her to the village. You see she had been very ill and is now better. I'm truly sorry".

I look down not wanting to show how hurt I was. " Actually you two go. I see Kol and I want to talk to him. I haven't seen him in some time now" Samantha says. "Are you sure, be-

" Yes go! Hey Kol want to go for a walk"? I turn to him and see him shake his head yes. " Have fun Tatia"! I see Samantha run into Kol arms and walk to words the village.

I turn to Tatia with a smile on my face and give her my hand. She takes it and we begin our walk.

As I return home from out walk I see my brother Elijah talking with our parents. "Mother, Father, and Elijah how was your day"? I asked with the most biggest smile ever. "My son come sit down. Your father and I are tired of this quarrel of a girl.

So we have decided the solution" my mother told me. I was shocked, so I look to my brother Elijah to see him looking down. It seems that he already knows of this solution. I turned back to my mother and nodded for her to continue. "So what is this solution you have decided for us"?

She breathed in and said the words that made my world crashing down. " You my son are to be married to Samantha Petrova". " Mother you can't be serious! What about Elijah? How does this solve our fighting?!"

I ask enraged. "Watch your mouth boy"! my father yells at me. I look down and apologize to my mother. " Niklaus, Elijah will have the hand of Tatia. Her parents and us have decided that both of you are perfect together".

I nod and look at Elijah " it looks like you got the girl brother". I leave the hut and make my way to my secret hide out, where I can process this decision. When I reach my spot I see a girl sobbing. Not realizing that it was Samantha until I touch her shoulder. She jumped and put her hands on her heart.

"God Niklaus you scared me half to death". All I can do is stare at her and think she will become my bride soon. "What are you doing here"? I ask with curiosity. No one knows of this place, not even my sister. " This is my secret place. I come here when I need to think or just be alone.

What are you doing here? How did you know where to find me"? While saying that she points her finger at me in a accusing way. I chuckle at her and put my hands in a surrender position. " This is my secret spot too". She nods and goes back to sit down. I take that as a invitation and join her.

That is all we did. Spend time with each other without talking. Tatia and I never did this. I guess we weren't that comfortable with each other, not enough to just sit in silence.

Weeks have gone by and Samantha and I have grown closer. I like to believe that. She told me how before out engagement, that she was in a relationship with another.

Sadly she had to calls things off with him. He didn't take to well, he blamed me for it. She came to my defence and that is when things went bad. He slapped her in the face.

She was so speechless that he would do that. I would have gone after him but she told me no. That he want worth it and that she got to know his true self now.

Samantha was kind, level headed, pretty, and smart. Cause of her, Elijah and I have become brothers once again.
