Maya jolted awake and felt as if her heart were to jump out of her chest. Damn, her alarm scared her in the morning. She slammed her hand down on it, attempting to turn it off but failed and had to try a few more times to get it to stop buzzing.

She rubbed her eyes and yawned sheepishly, and seriously started to regret her decision to stay up so late watching anime. "Oh well," she thought to herself. She got up to get dressed and the memory of what happened last night hit her like a truck.

"NO NO NO!!" She yelled and shook her head violently and tried to forget the memory. Maya wanted to convince herself that it was just her eyes being weird and she was too tired. But the only the was, it felt so real. Too real. She slipped on her black school skirt and tucked in her short, white button down into it. Then threw on her black socks, shoes, gray sweater, black blazer and grabbed her bag. Quickly, she made her way out the door, not even bothering to eat or say goodbye to her family, and began to walk to school.

The day had gone by in a flash and soon enough it was lunch time. Just as she was getting out of her seat to go outside, a big, blurry, happy fluff of sunshine tackled her and screamed, "MAYA!"

"June..." Maya grunted, just having the wind knocked out of her by being tackled by her friend.

June got up and off Maya and lended her a hand. "Sorry, I got a little carried away," she giggled.

She smiled at Maya with her bright, sweet smile and closed her sparkly blue eyes. Her straight bright, red, hair laid perfectly around her face, stopping a little above her hips. Her school uniform looked very good on her, mostly because she had a nice figure. She was a really pretty girl. June also usually wore plain, bright clothing when not in her uniform and she looked even prettier in that. Maya always thought she could be super popular if she wanted, but she always declined and complained about how she didn't like those people. That was one thing they both had in common. But no matter how different they were, they stuck together. I guess she was Maya's best friend, and pretty much her only friend.

"It's alright," Maya sighed. Once she was up and off the floor she brushed herself off and walked outside with her friend to go eat lunch.

Outside they found and table that wasn't occupied and sat across from each other. Maya poked and prodded at her food and June took notice to this odd behavior. It just wasn't like her to not eat, Maya was always eating, always.

"What's wrong?" June asked Maya, snapping her from her trance.

"Huh?" She mumbled.

"Well, you're acting weird. You usually have eaten all your food by now."

"Oh..." Maya trailed off, "I guess something's just bothering me..."

"Bothering you? You know you can tell me anything, right? Come on, tell me what's on your mind."

Maya sighed. "Promise you won't laugh? It's a little weird."

"I promise!" Maya said enthusiastically.

"Well... Last night I stayed up pretty late watching anime-"

"Separated?" June cut her off. Maya talked about that one so much, June knew if she was watching anime, it was most likely that one.

Maya nodded. "But then something strange happened. I went to touch the screen-"

"Wait why would you touch the screen? It leaves smudges." Maya a was cut off again.

"Stop interrupting!" Maya sighed and began again, "Anyways, my hand didn't touch the screen. It went through it." Maya looked down at her lap, but after a few seconds of silence she looked up to see her friend holding a mouth closed and her face beet red. Then she gave up and erupted in fit of laughter, clutching her stomach while she did.

Maya just pouted and blushed a little and then leaned over the table to knock June on the head. "You said you wouldn't laugh!" She exclaimed.

"I'm... Sorry... It's just so... Impossible..." She managed out between breaths.

"I'm being serious! I think that actually happened and I don't know what to do!" Maya yelled at her friend, her embarrassment quickly turned to anger.

"Maya! That couldn't never happen! It wasn't real!" She said while ridding her eyes of tears with her hands.

Maya's face turned into a frown. She couldn't believe her friend, no, her best friend, didn't believe her. She felt hurt.

The black haired girl then grabbed her bag and left her friend, and left the school grounds, ditching the rest of school. She began walking home and hugged herself tightly. "I'll show her," Maya thought, "but this time, I'll go all the way through."
