(Zetzu)

Cars, I was not a fan of them. Although it was warm inside, especially with so many bodies crammed into it all I wanted was to get out. Being inside small spaces always made me uncomfortable. My body was spilled out over any open area on the floor, barely managing to fit. Do to David and Benson's hulking figures on the same stretch of seat they forced Vincent right into my side. Not that I minded that part. It was more of the fact that Todd's agitated state was making me even more uncomfortable.

I could feel his leg bouncing against my tail. My eyes peeked open when a hand touched my arm and Vince gave me a look. Clearly showing the question in his eyes, although he didn't ask it I still shook my head at him. I'd be fine, as long as we got there soon.

"Why are you so jumpy?" David spoke quietly to Todd drawing my eyes up to look at the way he was leaning closer to his mate. My tail tensed and shifted over the floor and Vince leaned against me. His hand sliding down my arm to rub at the scales that scattered over my hips. It helped ease my discomfort, letting me tune out the conversations around us.

Of course my tension came back full force when the car slowed a bit and the ride graduated to bumpy. "So where in the mountains are we even going?" Pressing my lips together tightly I glanced at Todd in time to see him shrug at me.

I couldn't see his eyes due to Benson covering his face. "No clue, Mrs. Roxe was the one who arranged this." Sighing I reached down and grabbed Vince, hoping having him closer would help the anxiety squeezing my chest. Tuning back out of the loop I held onto Vince, the instant the car stopped and the doors opened I dragged myself out. The packed dirt was warm under my belly scales helping to relax my muscles. Even without the sun shining the air was warm and humid. Perfect.

Shuddering and sliding away from the car my eyes trailed to watch the group of people walking toward the massive cabin mansion.

Vince paused a few steps ahead to look back at me, a gentle smile pulled at his lips. "Come on. Car ride's over let's go find our rooms." Leaning forward I followed Vince in, being sure to pull my tail all the way in before the heavy front doors closed on me.

"I wonder where Mrs. Roxe gets the money for these kinds of things." Glancing around the elegant building, with its deep maroon colored wooden floors and expensive chandelier. Apart from the dim lighting and questionable electricity making the light flicker faintly, it was nice and open. The walls echoed with the laughing from our friends as they dispersed into the building.

Pulling myself up the stairs I looked at the doors lining the hall moving slowly, "Hey Zetzu... Will you be alright sleeping here? I noticed your body gets really cold when you sleep and we don't have any of the heating blankets here."

The worry in Vince's voice made me look down at him, he wasn't looking at me. In fact it appeared as if he was purposely avoiding looking at me. Frowning a bit I glanced down the hall again, my eyes spotting a large set of double doors. Probably one of a few Master bedrooms, big rooms ment big beds. I might even fit on one.

"I should be fine, as long as it doesn't get too cold at night." My murmur trailed off as I thought over what I would do if it did get too cold. Regular blankets did me little good since I couldn't control my inner body temperature, I was forced to rely on outside temperatures. Coming to a stop I looked down. If it was suppose to rain then it would be getting cold, unless by some chance it stayed humid and hot but it certainly wasn't the right time of year for a storm like that.

"Now that you mention it... Maybe I should have had Mrs. Roxe set up something for me. Without the blankets I usually end up looking for other sources of heat." Rubbing my neck nervously.
