Suspicions (Long chapter)

"See, their super happy now! So, who's next?!" Starlight asked as she searched the crowd. After a while, about half of the students had their cutie marks removed. "Well, we still have time for one more person before or next period starts, so any volunteers?" There was silences between the students, then somebody raised their hand. "Come on up then!" As she walked, Rarity said in a low voice, "Fluttershy dear, are you sure about this? This seems a bit... surprising from your part. Don't tell me you actually believe her nonsense." "Sorry Rarity but if we want to know what's she's up to, this is the only way. I hope." As she walked up, she saw the faces on all the other cutie mark-less kids. She was about to stop and walk back but then Lyra Heartstrings* and Sweetie Drops* slightly pushed her onto the stage. As Starlight opened the Cutie Un-marker, she had a weird smirk on her face.

Not much later, Fluttershy's cutie mark was removed and the students couldn't help but notice that some of her colors had faded. Or at least more than the other students. When Starlight saw their faces she quickly said, "It's probably because she as lighter colored clothing. Nothing else." Fluttershy looked a bit dizzy, but other than that, she was fine. She walked up to her friends and Sunset Shimmer and Pinkie Pie said at the same time, "How did it feel? Are you okay?" "I'm fine but it was weird how my colors faded. Well, maybe it's because my clothes are lighter in color. But that's none of your business, or is it, huh?!" Then she automatically put her hands over her mouth, "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean that, it just came out!"

Soon, everyone was heading to their next class. Sunset Shimmer, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Twilight were all headed to English class then Sunset commented, "Don't you think it's a bit suspicious how Fluttershy's colors faded and that she said that mean comment. That's not like her." "Your right, that's not Fluttershy alright. And her explanation sure didn't convince me either." Applejack told everybody else.

Fluttershy walked proudly, she shoved everybody that got in her way. She had a smug expression on her face. "Oh I'm sorry" she said sarcastically, "Oh wait, actually, I'm not!" Then, her eyes glowed their regular green-blue color instead of gray. She shook her head,"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry everybody. This time I really didn't mean it!" She tried getting close to people but they just backed away or ran. Most of them were crying. "Sorry Fluttershy, but we don't trust you anymore!" Trixie Lulamoon* said as she sobbed. She and other students ran off. "Wait, please come back!" Fluttershy shouted as her eyes started to get watery. Then, she started crying and she ran towards the bathroom. Right at that moment, Pinkie appeared. She had seen everything, she ran toward Fluttershy. Not before long, she was in the bathroom with Fluttershy. She was leaning against one of the wall crying and drying her tears. Pinkie sat next to her. "Hey Fluttershy, you okay?" "No! I'm not okay!" she said in her calmish voice,"I've been acting so terrible but I don't know why! You don't think it has something to do with Starlight, do you?" "Yeah. She seems awfully suspicious." Fluttershy wiped her tears then she looked at Pinkie with her gray eyes. "Well, guess what, I don't think you're capable of thinking at all. Did you really think I meant that? Ha! You're just as gullible as all the other students here at CHS!" Then she jerked her head back and started crying again. She ran out and Pinkie followed her, "Fluttershy hold up!" she said between sniffs. She was about to cry to.

"She's just not Fluttershy anymore!" Pinkie cried out. Her and her friends, not including Fluttershy, were in the gym alone, school was almost out. "Yeah, I've been seeing some pretty strange things lately too! Whenever I pass by some students, they're crying or warning me to not mess with Fluttershy." Rainbow Dash told them. "Well, here's what I think happened: when Fluttershy's cutie mark got removed, so did the kindness in her. That's why she's been acting some cruel and mean. And more evidence is that we haven't gotten our cutie mark removed and we're fine. But how could Starlight make a device so powerful? And why only Fluttershy, why not the other students?" Sunset theorized. "Maybe she's planning to turn into a demon like I did." Twilight was sitting on the ground with her hand on her chin, then she giggled knowing she had defeated the Midnight Sparkle in her already. "Oh come on darling, cheer up. What I mean is, we've fought two demons*, 3 sirens that were bent on world domination*, a girl who tried to save her camp by trapping everyone in, and now, we might have to fight a girl that's up to no good. No offence dear" Rarity kneeled by Twilight and gave her a hug. Twilight knew it was true. But she had already gotten over it, so it didn't really matter anymore. Then everybody joined in. "Well," Twilight hopped back up, "if we want to get Fluttershy back, we're going to have to get the Cutie Un-marker!" "What makes you think that?" Sunset said. "Think about it, if by opening it she collects magic, if we are able to destroy it with no magic to collect, it might set the cutie marks and the magic free. Exactly like what happened at the Friendship Games!" Everyone was surprised at Twilight's statement, knowing she felt bad about, and now that she seems to be happy about it. Sort of. "Well, I think that's a great idea Twilight. What do ya'll say?" A.J put her hand out. "Let's do it!" they said putting their hands up.  

As soon as they were heading out of the gym, Sunset Shimmer was about to run into Fluttershy. She looked at the necklace around her neck and saw it looked...faded.
