Destiny's POV

Mathematics.

My eternal enemy. Even so, here I set in Algebra so close to hitting my head on a wall. I press my fingers to my temples, my poor brain cells having a war in my head bringing on a headache.

"Am I boring you Ms. Anderson?" An annoyed voice rings out causing me to lazily direct my gaze at Ms.Johnson.

Yes, actually you are.

I pull on a plastic
smile faking interest.
"No, not at all Ms.Johnson." I say in the sweetest tone I can muster. Though a bit of sarcasm seeps through earning me her glare and a few  giggles from fellow classmates causing me to grin.

"Well since your 'oh so interested' I'll see you after class Ms.Anderson." She says turning back to the board to continue with the lesson.

The grin slips from my face and I slump back in my chair. 'So close to freedom and you just had to mess it up. Nice going.' I mentally scold myself.

Its seems like forever before the bell final rings and all the students final out. I try to slip out with the crowed stealthily.

"Destiny." Ms.Johnson called in a warning tone. I pear at her over my shoulder from the doorway.
Dammit.
I take a deep breath and turn to face her leaning on the door frame.
"Destiny, I know you've been struggling sin-"
I hold up my hand cutting her off my body gone rigid and tense. I grit me teeth sending her a glare before muttering "Don't."

She simply shrugs, unfazed by my bitterness towards the topic. She sighs and walks to me placing a hand on my shoulder her eyes gentle.
"I know its hard but you and I both know she never would have wanted you to act out like this. Your grades are suffering and your behavior is unruly. If not for the fact that I'm understanding of the situation you'd be in quite allot of trouble. You know what's right and where as I know your still struggling there's only so much I can allow... I think its time we get you into grief therapy or something, anything but a change has to be made."

I burst into laughter at the thought. My laughter soon calms and I come eye to with her again.
"Wait your serious?"

"Yes Destiny I'm serious. Its been almost two years." She sighs. I look at the ground.

It felt like it was just yesterday.
I can still hear her voice, smell her sent and feel the warmth of her hugs in memory. Inhaling deeply, I know she's right. My mother would have never wanted this for me. She'd be disappointed.

Looking into her eyes I smile a little and nod.
"Your right."
She smiles back at me and pulls me into a hug.
"Thanks Aunt Silvia." I speak softly, taking a step back.
"No problem kid. Now run along and try to stay out of trouble." I put my hand over my chest acting hurt and gasp.
"Me in trouble? Never"
I say sarcastically, laughing as I walk out the door.

I step out of the school greeted by an empty parking lot and cloud cover promising rain. I sigh and make my way down the steps but tripping and falling on my ass.
I hear laughing from behind me and turn quickly only to be met with bright blue mocking eyes.

"Luke." I greet in a snipped tone standing and dusting myself off.
"Destiny." He replies with with a smirk. I glace around in search of the, might I say, better version of the snake like man in front of me. Well built, sandy blond hair, pale white skin littered with freckles and piercing blue eyes. He wasn't bad looking obviously he was actually quite handsome just as his twin Elliot.

"Looking for something dear?" A similar but more charming voice speaks from behind me again. I turn to the other side, to see his warm smiling face. I smile back but the smile fades quickly while looking him over. Something is off.
I notice a slight bulge along his torso due to the thick bandaging. I smell the faint scent of blood.

His face is slightly pained though his smile hides it well. I look at him questioningly and his facade falls. I walk up to him and help him to a setting position on the school steps.

"What happened this time?" I say directing it towards Luke who's perched up in a tree looking bored.
"Elly here decided he was gonna storm the rogue territory." He says glancing at Elliott before continuing. "We were barely over their borders when we were attacked." He finishes a hint of amusement in his voice.
"Why would you do something like that?" I whisper to Elliot anger and worry flowing in my words.
He quickly looks to the ground a growl escaping him before he winces.

I hear the shutting of a door and look up to see Aunt Silvia at the top of the steps.
"Need a ride?" She says observing the three of us. I nod helping up a stubborn Elliot. After struggling for a few moments Luke gives me a hand. We're soon being pelted with droplets of rain as we make our way to the car. Well this is quite the mess.
