Chapter 04

It's been weeks already after the season ended.

We failed.

The crown wasn't brought home. Felt sorry for as we haven't sent Ate Aby a championship exit. Pinabayaan namin ang corona.

'Huy Ye tulala ka nanaman, tara kain tayo.' Kim woke me up.

I was in the living room, laying in the couch, thinking deep, looking at nothing. I looked up seeing Kim and Ara all ready to go out. I checked the time on the wall clock, it's almost seven in the evening.

'Ah oo, sige sunod ako.' I said to them as I marched up my room to change my shirt and get my wallet.

I heard them shouted and said that they'll just wait for me in the guard house and I just shouted back saying ok.

While climbing down the stairs, I heard my phone beeped notifying a message. Must've be Mama, nagpaalam kasi ako sa kanya that I'll go out on Saturday with Tin and my new found friends Nice and Kim, baka nagreply na. But it's not.

'You good na?' The text said. I smiled. I don't know why. But then I replied instantly.

'Yeah? Maybe?' I replied. We have been constant textmates naman. I say we're friends. Since that night when he visited, mas nakikilala ko pa siya.

'Wag mo na lang isipin yun, may two more years pa idol, bawi!' He replied that quick. I laughed. Wow ha, against his school pa naman.

'Oo, babawiin talaga namin yan.. Sa inyo na muna ngayon!' And sent I chuckled and went my way to the gate.

As I opened the little gate, I saw Ara and Kim happily making chitchats with Manong Fred, the guard.

When suddenly.

'Uy wow Manong, may sign ka ni Kiefer Ravena ah.' Kim said as she's holding the log book, that I remembered Kief signed that night. Shit.

'Ah oo, napadaan kasi siya dito nong kelan ba yun?' Manong happily said as he took the log book from Kim.
