Thankfully, after a terrible accident, you are still alive. You are in a coma at the hospital, and you went under four surgeries. Your leg and arm are broken, and you won't be able to walk for about three months. That wasn't the bad news. The bad news was what the doctor told your parents at the hospital. Your parents wait in the chairs inside your hospital room. They are praying so hard for you to wake up, but you are still in a coma. The nurse comes in and calls your parents.

"Please come to the office of the doctor," the nurse says.

Your parents follow her to the office, and they are worried. As they enter, the doctor has a worried look on his face, looking like he doesn't even want to tell them the news.

"Please sit down," the doctor says, as calmly as he could. "We are so sorry about your daughter. Her condition isn't that stable right now, and she won't be able to walk for three months."

Frustrated, your mom says, "Yes we know. Just get to your point already."

"Well, Y/N will wake up any day within the next three weeks. There is bad news. The bad news is that, she won't be able to remember anything," the doctor slowly says.

"What?!" your parents say in unison.

"I'm very sorry. There was a complication in her brain that caused her to lose her memory. Also, it is better for her not to know about the accident. It will traumatize her since she is very fragile right now," the doctor says.

"Oh what do we do? Our poor daughter will suffer like this? No!" your dad says as he exits and slams the door. Your mom walks out of the door to sit and talk with your dad. They are in a serious conversation when Mark's parents approach them.

"What happened? Is she alright? We're so sorry, because of Joey--" Mrs. Tuan says as she gets cut off.

"She won't be able to walk for three months, and..." your mom says, holding back her tears.

"And what?" Mr. Tuan says with a super worried look.

"And she won't be able to remember anything when she wakes up," your mom slowly says. Mark's parents stare in shock.

"Oh goodness! What are we going to do?" Mrs. Tuan asks, panicking.

"I don't think living here in America will be a good idea. I also think that she shouldn't see Mark or any of you when she wakes up. I think that she should start over," your mom says.

"Even though that saddens us, it will be for the best," Mrs. Tuan says. "What's your plan?"

Your mom sighs. "We're going to move to Korea. My husband wants to start his corporation there, and she will never find out that she had a life here in Los Angeles. She won't find out that she had a childhood sweetheart either," she says, doing her best to make eye contact with them.

They just nod, knowing that it's best for you not to know anything. The fact that you had a huge accident will traumatize you in the future.

Mark's parents give you a hug, and then walk away. Mark runs up to them, but they stop him and tell him your parents' plan. Mark cries and his parents hug him. Your parents cringe just by looking at Mark. He is so hurt inside, and this was his biggest fear ; you forgetting him.

Two weeks later, you finally wake up. Everything is blurry, but you look at your hand and see the IV. You know you're at a hospital, but you don't know the people who are next to you. It's a couple, and they are staring at you. They look like they are excited, but they are controlling their feelings.

"Excuse me? Who are you?" you ask, feeling nervous.

"We are your parents. You were transferred here to Los Angeles for some treatment, but you're all better now. You don't remember?" your "parents" say.

"No, I'm sorry, but I don't remember anything. Not even my name," you say, ready to panic.

"That's the side effect of the treatment. Your name is Y/N (change name to any different name)," your "dad" kindly says. You feel something that attracts you to them. It was a feeling that made you feel like they were really your parents.

"Sweetie, we will be leaving for Korea in two days. That's where your real home is. You were here for two weeks for your treatment," your mom says. You quietly nod, they hug you, and you feel safe. Within those two days before you leave for Korea, they take care of you very well. You don't know what is in store for you in Korea, but you feel excited about it.

"Your dad is opening up 'J Group Company' in Korea. It's going to be big!" your mom says, packing your clothes. Your flight was in two hours, so you hurry and get dressed. Your arm and leg are broken, so you know that was probably part of what needed to get treatment. You arrive at LAX and you board the plane with your parents.
