But all that did was anger and deeply hurt Raelyn. One day after Jacob said something extra cruel, and emotionally and mentally destroying, Raelyn phased and attacked Jacob for all of the things he said and did to her.

How she phased: Leah's father, Harry Clearwater, was out in the forest surrounding La Push with a hunting party lead by Sheriff Charlie Swan. The party was looking for the bear-sized wolves that had been spotted an increasing large number of times in the past couple of months. While searching the woods Harry Clearwater was found by Victoria, a cray re-headed vampire that was trying to kill Isabella Swan, and ended up causing Harry Clearwater to have a heart attack. Harry later died and the pain of his death caused his two kids, Leah and Seth, to phase.
