Close my eyes against the wind, hair flying behind me and I inhale the smell of the moist earth. The sun peeks out behind the clouds, sunlight dancing across the field, a drop of rain waiter drips down onto my forehead from the leaves overhead.
Swaying in the breeze, the corn stalks make a rusting sound.
My face lifts up into a smile, this might be a good place to start anew. For a fresh beginning, new hopes, new dreams, new memories. Il finally ready to cast my old life behind me.
Tucking my sunglasses into my hair, I walk back to my car.
