Sarah opened the door, and Zane walked in, carrying me.
He dropped me on the recliner, then went to put on a fresh shirt.
"I'll get the bandages."Adam said, walking upstairs.
"I can't believe they took Kacie...."Benehime plopped down on the couch, looking at the floor.
"If I had to guess, I'd say Lane only took her as bait to lure us to him."Oscar said, crossing his arms.
"That'd be my guess."Benehime sighed in agreement.
"We have to go."I said.
Everyone looked at me.
"Go where?"Zane scoffed, sliding on a clean purple shirt.
"To get Kacie, you dumbass!"I exclaimed.
"Don't get all worked up"Adam said, unraveling some gauze.
I took a deep breath,and held my arm out.
"And the wing."Adam sighed.
I muttered to myself, and unfolded the wing that had been shot.
"Good."He said, wrapping the gauze around the bullet hole,and the base of my wing.
I flinched.
"Careful!"I seethed.
"Done."He clipped the bandage into place.
I slowly folded my wing in,and rolled my shoulder.
"So are we going to get her? If so, I'll have to get dressed."Oscar leaned against the back of the couch.
"Of course we're going to get her!"I scoffed, glaring at him.
"I figured at much."He sighed, slumping up the stairs.
"Alright. Pack light."I smiled,looking at the remaining 4 members of my flock.
"Four of us versus the Department Of Human Improvment? Do you really think we stand a chance?"Benehime asked, stripping of her regular clothes, revealing her battle outfit.
And by "battle outfit" I mean A very low-cut pink top, fitted black sweatpants, and combat boots.
"You were wearing that under your clothes this whole time?"I asked in disbelief.
"I always wear this under my clothes. You never know when you have to go to battle!"She grinned, pulling her backpack out of the closet in the living room.
She handed everyone else their backpacks, then went to pack her own.
Ten Minutes Later.....
After ten wasted minutes, everyone was gathered in the living room, looking like they'd rather die than go back to the D.O.H.I (Department Of Human Improvment)
Except Oscar and Benehime. They looked excited.
"Okay, let's get going."I said, opening the door.
We lived on the edge of a mountain, so it eas easy to take off.
We all lept off the edge, and snapped out wings out.
Adam just walked off the edge, letting his instincts do the work his eyes couldn't.
"Adventure time!!"Benehime and Oscar exclaimed, fist-bumping.
"You guys are so immature!!"I exclaimed, looking back at them
They laughed.
And with that, we were off, headed back to hell.
Fun, fun, fun.
