Chapter one meeting him

I was starting a new school. Sydney Russell. I stood at the doors waiting for the doors to open, as soon as the doors open all students of year 7 rushed in to find the first letter of their surnames I went to C because my name is Delilah churchyard "ok so ur in the form 7ML" he gave me a sticker that said '7ML' I thanked him and walked to the doors to the hall a lady came up to me "ok so ur 7ML go to the poster that says 7ML on it and sit down" I did as she said and walked over to the poster 7ML and sat down next to a boy with blond hair he looked over at me and smiled "hey I'm Danielis and u are?" "I'm Delilah churchyard. It's nice to meet u" "nice to meet u too so are u nervous?" "Uhhh....yeah" "aw don't be" he then hugged me "thanks but u don't need to hug me" I push him off of me gently and smile then I heard my friend Joshua "hey Delilah how's ur mum doing" "she's doing fine" I smiled at him, I don't really know why I smile I hurt inside so why do I smile? Is it because I don't want to worry people around me? "Delilah? Hello is anyone there?" I snap out my thoughts "yeah sorry I was uh daydreaming" "about what?" Danielis asked me with a sad look in his eyes "oh nothing just worried about the new school" as soon as I say that the teacher went upstage with a microphone "hello new year sevens I am a English teacher. I will be teaching some of u for English but most of u I won't. Don't be nervous about ur first day I'm sure u will make lots of friends. Now I want someone to come up here and sing for us she said that she loves singing in her interview so please come up here Delilah Churchyard" I stand up and walked to the front of the stage and the teacher gave me the microphone "hey I'm Delilah churchyard and I will be singing should've been us" everyone clapped (play video now).

Danielis p.o.v

She was...amazing her singing voice was just amazing I sat there listening to her like she was my life but why did I feel like this? Why when I'm around her I feel butterflies are in my stomach and I get so nervous I don't know what to say?

I took my seat again and smiled at Danielis "u were amazing" he said to me and hugged me "what did I do to get a hug" "u were a amazing singer!"he stopped hugging me and then our form tutor came up to us and told us to follow her to her class.
