Nepeta POV-
" h33h33 ok i'll hide if that's what you really want" I said to my meowrail. He walked up to me and put both his hands on my shoulder. "Nepeta. I do not know if I will come back from my quest to find the highblood. And before I leave I just want to say. Goodbye" he embraced me ever so gently, since he was so strong. I felt a bit sad at this new information, but I knew he would come back! "Don't worry Equius, you're fur too strong to lose. I'll s33 you after you find Gamz33, purromise?" I smiled brightly at him. He looked down at my smiling face and kissed my forehead. "Yes, Promise. We shall see each other again." he said and gave a smile back. "Now, go hide." I left the room and went to the air vent. Inside it I crawled and as I passed other vent doors, I saw only but a bit of the terror that had been happening throughout the lab. I saw many of my furriends blood splattered on the wall, some of it used to write messages or draw pictures. I prayed to gog, I hope Equius was safe. It seemed very quiet as I crawled around. I came to a final stop, a dead end. But this time, I saw trolls. Equius to be exact,and he was talking to someone but I couldn't see too well. Was that Gamz33? He didn't even look like himself anymore. Oh my god, whats going on!?
Equius POV-
After I instructed Nepeta to take leave, I went in search of the highblood,Gamzee. I searched for what felt like hours but was only a few mere minutes. I was actually feeling earful at this point. A man as STRONG as me shouldn't feel this. But me against the highblood...it was so wrong in so many ways, to besmirch the hemospectrum this way. Challenging a highblood of his stature. I worry most of Nepeta's safety though. What if she hasn't made it to the gait, I mean gate. Is she in trouble? Oh gosh darn it, if only I knew. Hmmm this place seems too quiet...wait whos that? I turned around and looked up. I saw the pyrope girl with her red glasses,looking down upon me. "Ah hello Pyrope, have you seem the highblood around?" I ask. " you really should fix those MOTHERFUCKING SHADES OF YOURS BROTHER!" This was highly unusual, she would never speak to me, a nobility like that. Wait a second..." You are not the Pyrope girl! You are the highblood." Oh fiddlesticks how could I have been so foolish as to believe it was her. Only one of his stature would speak to me with such audacity. "TAKE IN THIS INFORMATON MOTHERFUCKER! i am going all batshit in this WICKED IGNORANCE. you should really RESPECT THE SUBJUGGULATORS and kneel...." I only caught bits and pieces of this." Excuse me,highblood, I did not catch that last part." "i said kneel. kneel RIGHT THE FUCK NOW MOTHERFUCKING PIECE OF SHIT!" Oh highblood, why must you be so...lude about this. "I'm sorry,again,I did not catch that." I saw him pick up a...Was that my bow? He's gonna fire it. I need to run, but I shan't I must protect Nepeta.The arrow came soaring down and hit me square in the knee. Oh darn it, it hurts a bit...The highblood is approaching. He just broke my bow. "Highblood what do you plan to do with that....if you don't mind me asking." He only laughed then wrapped the strings around my neck. This is it. I looked over behind the highblood at the gate...and say my moirails face. She looked like she was terrified. Absolutely horrified. As I was suffocating, I looked straight at her and smiled. Just to let her know everythings ok.....as I took my last breath, I saw her olive colored tears fall, as I too, fell.
Nepeta's POV
Oh my gog....no...no..no...no....This can't be happening. This can't p-pawsibly be happening! Equius is...he's dead. Gamz33 was laughing as his body hit the floor...why that little! I pounced from the vent with my claws extended at Gamz33. He turned around and just as I was about to make contact with his neck, he grabbed my arm. He slide it across his face, slowly, allowing me to watch the purple blood ooze from his face. He chucked me to the side. "3333!" I screamed as I made contact with the wall. It hurt really bad. I looked back over at Gamz33...now with two large pins in hand. " N-no Gamz33 wait...purrlease don't do this!" I begged and backed up until I was up against the wall. " heheh sorry sis, but ITS NOT MY MOTHERFUCKING CHOICE of who i kill and DON'T MOTHERFUCKING KILL!" he screamed in my face. He started to beat me viciously with the pins. He started with my legs furst. I think he might have broken one of then, it hurt so bad. The pain was searing through me, reminding me of when I had died in Derse....but this time, I knew I wouldn't be able to wake up. Then he started beating my stomache wildly, it turned a dark green color as the bruise formed. Finally,he started beating on my head. I collapsed to the ground after hearing a loud crack, and laid in agonizing pain as he beat my head in, watching the olive blood pour from it. I assumed he got bored and left. I knew I was going to die, I lost far too much blood. I had little energy left....but enough that I could move though. I started crawling. I made the long crawl over to Equius's unmoving body. I laid myself next to him and smiled. " J-just like I said Equius..." I said as I felt myself slipping away from life. " we will s-s33 each other soon..." and with that I gave my last breath, and held his hand.
Third Person POV-
Two trolls approached each other in the dream bubble. One took the appearance of a cat like girl, the other a strong person with long hair and a broken horn. They started talking and it went something like this. "Nepeta. I am so terribly sorry. I have failed you..." "Oh Equius, you didn't fail me at all" The girl smiled up at him. "But I failed to keep you safe, I let the highblood kill you...I let him kill myself" " Its ok...Don't go blaming yourself for all this purrlease" " But by allowing him to kill me, I could no longer protect you...you shouldn't even be here with me right now." "Shhh Equius..." "Y-you should be living with the others and being safe....you should be with that lowblood you oh so adore." " Equius..." " You shouldn't be with me, you need to leave. I-I command you to start living again..." " Hey remember that purromise we made to each other?" " Why yes I do. Why does that matter now, Nepeta?" " Well you purromised me that we would s33 each othfur again right?" The cat girl started to tear up. " Well, we're s33ing eachothfur now. Y-you kept your purromise" She embraced him, and started to cry softly. " I-I know I made that promise.... I wanted it to be kept when we were both still alive...." He gently embraced her too, and let a few tears spill himself. The two trolls stayed like that for a while, crying and talking to each other, never letting the other one go again.
