Theo

Theo turned the steering wheel slightly as he turned a corner on the long and windy road. He drove until he saw the worn down, baby blue sign at the egde of the forest. He pulled over to the side of the road, only slightly aware of the beat up jeep that pulled over a little ways behind him. He tried to look at the driver as he got out of his own car but even with his enhanced werewolf vision, the fog was too thick.

He carefully shut his door before taking his first step towards the forest. As he meet with the first tree he rubbed his hand over the rough bark, the memories of that one fateful day bubbling up to the surface of his mind.

*Flashback*

"Janie, wait up!" a young Theo Raeken yelled to his little siter as she ran ahead of him into the dark forest.

"You're so slow Thee!" She yelled back as she chuckled. By this point Theo had lost sight of the small girl.

Theo ran a little farther before he stopped. "Janie, where are you?" Theo yelled into the darkness that surrounded him, his hands cupped around his mouth. There was no answer. Theo slowly started to walk forward.

"Theo! Help me!" He heard the voice of his little sister yell.

"Janie!" Theo yelled as he dashed off in the direction that the voice came from. He ran for a few minutes before he came across a beautifully crafted wooden bridge that streched over a frozen stream. Theo carefully walked onto the bridge, fearful of it giving way underneath him.

"Thee?" He heard the scared voice say from beneath his feet. He dashed across the bridge, not caring if it broke now. Once he was across he went around the side of it until he was at the edge of the frozen stream. He looked at his sister who stood right in the middle of it, the ice cracking slowly around her.

"Okay.. um.. carefully take a step towards me." Theo said as held his arms out towards her. She slowly moved her foot across the ice, causing it to crack even more.

"Theo!" She yelled as the ice gave way beneath her. Theo jumped forward in a futile attempt to save her, only feeling her small fingers brush against his before she was gone, being swept along under the ice layer.

Theo sat in the back of the paramedics van, an itchy blanket wrapped around his shoulders. He felt the tears start rolling down his rosy cheeks as he watched them roll a gurney covered in another blanket past him. As the gurney hit a small rock it was jostled, causing a small, blue arm to fall from underneath the blanket. He looked at it and recognised the colorful charm bracelet around it to be his sisters. He felt the tears start rolling down in larger quantities. He heard the people around him trying to comfort him but it sounded as if they were underwater. He heard his parents arrive at the scene and start sobbing when they saw him and the gurney, but their sobbs sounded far away. When they ran over to him and wrapped their arms around him they felt like tiny little spaghetti noodles. In that moment he vowed to never let anything like this happen to someone he loved again.

*End Of Flashback*

Theo smiled sadly at the small bridge as it came into view. He heard a small twig snap behind him. He whipped his head around and looked in the direction of the sound, only to be greeted by the white fog mixed with the dark of night. Luckily he was downwind, the scent of the thing that caused the sound drifting towards him. It was a familiar smell, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was. It smelled like white chocolate and lavender. Whatever it was, he loved the way it smelled.

He turned his head back to the task at hand, paying the thing with a wonderful scent no more mind. He walked forward until he stood in the middle of the bridge, the water now flowing rapidly beneath it. He slowly unwrapped the brown paper, revealing a lonely white rose. His siters favorite flower. He held it out over the stream for a few seconds before he let it slip from his fingers and fall into the water. He watched it flow with the stream until it vanished from his view.

Once it was gone he walked back to his car and drove away, a singular lone tear rolling down his cheek.

Stiles

Stiles quietly dashed behind a tree as he watched the other boy walk back through the forest. "I'm so stupid." He thought to himself. "Of course he was coming out here for his sister. It's the anniversary of her death."

Once the other boy was out of sight Stiles stood up and walked towards his car, all the while thinking about Theo. "Maybe he's not one of the bad guys." He thought to himself. "No! I can not let my guard down around him. He's suspicious and probably just wants to use Scott and the rest of the pack."

When he got into his car and drove off he was still thinking about Theo. It took him the whole drive home to decide if he thought Theo was the bad guy or not. He walked in the front door, seeing his father passed out at the dinner table, face pressed against pictures and files from the case that he was working on. Stiles quietly groaned and grabbed a blanket from the couch, carefully placing it over his fathers sleeping form.

After that he walked up the stairs and into his room, seeing the clear board that was covered in writing and pictures. He walked around it and looked at the picture of Theo that he had taped up. His hand slightly trembled and he had to take a deep breath before he reached for the picture and carefully took it down. He looked at the picture for a little bit, noticing how good of a picture of Theo it was, before he opened a drawer in the desk next to him and locked it away. His decision on Theo, was that he was a good person.

A/N
Hiiiii, so this is going to be a Steo book, based off of the one-shot I did called The Woods. It's obviously a lot longer and more interesting. Anywho, if you liked the first chapter then please click the little star and leave a comment telling me your thoughts. I am also very open to criticism as long as you aren't mean about it.
Ok that's all, byeeeeee
