Now and then I wonder what a bear looks like up close. I mean, don't get me wrong, I've seen bear, but only in pictures. But this story will change all that.

Today is July 14th, 2014 and I'm heading to Yellowstone National Park. Am I nervous of what I'll see when I get there? Well, sort of . . . Am I excited to get there? Try out of this world excited. Did I say that I was excited?

So right now I'm in the car and on my way to Yellowstone National Park for the first time in my life and I'm really excited to get there, wondering what all I will get to experience and will be there in a couple hours.

Okay, so I'm at Yellowstone with my Dad, a tallish man about 5'7", nearly bald with a brown goatee, my cousin, Fletcher who has black hair and very tall and is 15 years old, my cousin Sophie at age 5 and has long black, shiny hair and is Fletcher's younger sister, and my cousin, Mason at age 8 and has short black shiny hair and is Fletcher's younger brother.

We see a crowd of people and wonder what's up.There was a rustle in a bush, rustle-rustle-rustle. Something is definitely in that bush! Wow, it's a black bear, it came out and started eating berries as red as blood.

"Get my camera Misty." says my Dad.

"Okay, where is it?"

"It's under my chair." said my Dad.

I quickly grabbed his camera and brought it to him, and he turned on his camera and began taking pictures of the bear and then suddenly his camera shut off. Oh no, the battery died!

"Misty, the battery died, can you grab me another battery" my Dad said.

"Sure." I said.

"Hurry." Dad said.

"I'm trying to find one. Your bag isn't the cleanest!" I responded.

Suddenly, there was another rustle in the bush and a baby black bear appeared. I brought the battery over to my Dad and I stood there watching the bears in complete awe in what I was seeing, and then after the bears were done eating the bears walked away. This is important to me, because it was the first time of seeing a black bear in the wild. After seeing the bears up close, I am no longer scared of bears, as I once was. After the whole vacation at Yellowstone National Park, I think that I now know what I want to do when I grow up ... I want to be a park ranger. Did I say how excited I was?

This vacation was AMAZING!!!
