The sun glared into my face as bright as a thousand lightbulbs. The warm(more like scorching) weather reminded me of beach days and popsicles by the pool and spf 30 sunscreen. Summer. My hair blew into my face, like a big blue wonderland. A really irritating big blue wonderland. A big blue wonderland that I spent half an hour this morning taming. Crud.
"Hey!" Jeremy Abrams shouted, jogging up to me, out of breath.
"Hey." I smiled, slowing down to let him catch up. "You ready for Mrs. Myers test?"
"Wait what."
"Please tell me you knew there was a test today!" I groaned. Jeremy always does this. He's really bright but can never focus.
"What-um-uh-I--I had like stuff-stuff to do and...." He trailed off into an inaudible mumble.
"Oh yeah? I asked. "What stuff?" He mumbled again.
"Sorry?" I asked in the most condescending tone of all time. "Couldn't catch that."
"There was a Friends marathon." He muttered.
"Really?" I shrieked in exasperation.
"Really. And it got crazy. You know Rachel-"
"Do you think that there will be questions about Rachel on this test? Come on!"
"Woah, calm down. Its not that big of a deal. You're overreacting."
"And you aren't reacting enough! This is a huge test! I want to graduate middle school with you!"
"It'll be ok. I can wing it. Also, Wilbert sits right in front of me."
"And just WHAT are you implying?"
"Everyone cheats, all right?"
"Well, then, everyone should get some human decency. If you cheat off of Wilburt, I will punch you." I threatened with my fist.
"Fine, fine, mom." He grinned and inched closer towards me. "You have the new addition to that story you've been writing?"
"Yes, and you don't get to lay your paws on it until I see at least a C on that test."
He groaned. "Come on, I need to know what happened to Cynthia and her evil army!"
This was normal. I didn't have a lot of friends, but the small amount that I did have all flocked to my stories and poetry. I enjoyed my writings attention. Everything I wrote was a small piece of me, and writing is a huge part of me. It is everything I am and want to be.
I snapped back from zoning out as Jeremy was ranting to me about the cliffhanger the last episode put him on.
"And then Ross showed up at her door right as she was on this date! I mean, really!"
His voice faded away to me again as I smiled and thought, he is definitely not going to pass this test.Hi! It's the author! So, I promise that this will get much more interesting and the chapters will get a lot longer. I'm just trying realistic fiction out. If you enjoy the arts, I encourage you to keep reading. Anyways, I hope you liked that story. I will try to upload every 3-5 days. Bye!
