I stood up from the table, grabbing the dishes and headed towards the big doors.

"I could show you around if you would like"

"I would greatly appreciate it, thank you."

"I'll take care of these then show you around."

I quickly go to the kitchen and place the dishes in the sink. I turn around to leave only to have Ave in the doorway blocking my path. She looked quite annoyed by the looks of it.

No just no. There is no way you're going to show that thing around the manor. She said like I was going to show a poisonous snake around the manor.

"I don't see why not he's staying with us for a few days." with that said Ave left leaving me alone to show my new gift around the manor. I quickly returned to The Room. I'll show you around now. Together we walked through the twisted hall ways and showed him the library, the kitchen, study, living room , family room and finally we looped back to the entryway. I then showed him to the second floor, to the balcony of The Room, to the 2nd library, to his room and I pointed out my own along with my siblings rooms, and finally my parents.

"What's that room" he pointed at a white door.

"Oh that goes to my work space where I paint and draw or tinker. Would you like to see some of my completed work?" I asked in hope of him wanting to. I was always so happy to show my gifts my work that they may become or my past works.

"I would love to." With that we made our way even further down the hall to a spiral staircase which lead to my gallery. I went first and he followed closely behind me. I flipped on the the lights and turned around to see David's mouth open in awe of my work or at least that's what I hoped what it was.

"What do you think?" I really hoped he like my work.

"They're amazing."

"David"

"Yes Miria"

"You know what woman you talked about at breakfast"

"Yes she's my sister"

"I want to show you my favorite piece. I think she is in it."

I lead him to the end of the room and there on the wall was my favorite painting and only that painting was on that wall. It showed a family sitting under a lilac tree. There was a mother, sitting and drawing with two girls near her who looked to be her daughter. There was a father reading a book sitting next to the mother and he was reading a book. Then there were two boys who we climing up in the tree. The daughters were twins and looked no older than 7 years old. The boys were about 14 and 16. the mother looked to be quite young while the father had aged some by the looks of it.

"The woman who you talked about, Miranda right," David nodded in agreement of the name", she painted this with me when I was young."

"The woman in the painting, the one with brown hair tied up in bun and sitting by the two girls the albino and brunette, thats the one who painted the picture with me."

"That's my sister, who are the other people in the painting?"

"The blonde boy with the green eyes, that's Allen" I said pointing to the 16 year old in the tree.

"The boy next to him with the fiery red hair and grey eyes that's Edgar and the the girls next to Miranda that has the brown hair like hers is Eva and Man next to Miranda that's her husband Vincent."

"Her husband?"

"Yes they got married here in Salem about 28 years ago."

"Then the kids in the painting those are her children?"

"Yes"

"She looks so happy in the painting"

"She was."

"What happened to her?"

"I'm sorry she died 10 years ago"

"How"

I stayed silent unwilling to tell him how Vincent murder her when she was unable to kill her own children

"She was a wonderful person even upto the bitter end. She loved me. Please come with me" With that I lead him to my mother's room before she married my father. Where all her old thing where. We stood in silence together. For a long time we could feel each other's pain of lost. I lost my mother and he lost a sister. I wanted to say something to comfort him for our lost but there was nothing to be said. I stood there think of all the good time with my mother under the lilac tree. It was until David said something that snapped me out of my thoughts.

"Pardon?" I asked.

"Who, I mean, are um..."

"I am the final girl in the painting, Miranda was my mother. Would you like to pay your respect to your sister."

"I would like that very much. Thank you"

Together we made our way to the entryway. I stopped at the door. I had not left the house since that day 10 years ago. My brother had forbidden me to leave the house in fear that I would take my life since I had lost almost everyone that loved me.

"Follow the cobblestone path through the gates into the garden. Go to the lilac tree from the painting."

"Thank you"

"I hope to see you in the morning"

That night I slept in peace for once. There was no nightmares. No screaming in the middle of the night. Just the soft footsteps of Ave moving around the manor.
