I woke up this morning to a terrible scratching noise. "Moxie!!? Come!" My dog comes pounding to my room. "Hey baby girl!" Moxie wags her tail. She has been my best friend since I was 12. Since the beatings started. the scratching noise is getting louder. I look out my door and see a folded up piece of paper. Cautiously I pick it up. "I see You've found my note. remember the scratching noise? That wasn't moxie, but me. Are you scared yet?

"MOOOOOOOM!!!?" I am screaming for my mother out of sheer terror. "KATIE? KATIE HONEY ARE YOU ALRIGHT!?" I see the terrified look in her face when she sees me. Confused I look at her and say, "What's wrong?" "Katie your mouth is gushing blood. it's all over you and the floor and even moxie! What the hell happened!!?" "I-I don't know mom. I heard a scratching noise then I called moxie into my room, and I picked up this note and read it." I say, although I had an idea. "Give me the note. Now." I hand over the note, but instead of seeing writing, a razor blade falls out. "KATIE MARIE! WHAT THE HECK IS THIS!!!?" She's screaming at me. I don't know how to respond. then I see it. the creature behind my mother. "Mom don't move." I whip out my cell phone and dial 91- but then it vanishes. My mother drops to the floor. "DAAAAAAAAD DOOOOOOMINICCCC!!!!! HEEEEEEELP!!!!!" Dad rushes down the hall way, and when he sees my mother passed out he's screaming. "CALL 911! GET AN AMBULANCE OVER HER ASAP! HER PULSE IS SLOWING DOWN!!" I call 911 and the ambulance is here within minutes. They take her away. leaving me alone in the house with Doninic. I quickly call one of my friends and end up spending the day at her house, too terrified to be in the house all alone with my abusive brother and that.... creature.
