Omegabound

Division 1

Ashton woke up to the bright light of day's small rays shining across his room. He then turned over, grumpily trying to go back to sleep when suddenly, there was tapping on his window.

"Ugh, God can't I get any sleep around here? " He thought to him self.

When he turned his head to look, he saw it was just a tree branch tapping from a slight summer breeze. Just as he was about to blow it off Ashton noticed there happened to be a note tied to it with a golden ribbon. Curious he got up and opened the window to read it, almost falling out in the process. The note read:

Meet me in the woods at 10:00 by the old stone fence with the black metal gate.

Thinking it was from Rowan or Perci he texted them saying he wouldn't be late. Ashton grabbed his watermelon back pack thinking they may go for an "adventure" and put things such as; munchie snacks, a flashlight, sleeping bag, and some matches, not to mention his favorite axe. He then rushed to the bathroom to comb his blonde, crazy, fluffy hair. Seeing as it was no use, he put on a beanie with two buttons (a watermelon one and one that says dork) on it.

Wearing the clothes from yesterday, (which he slept in) he slid on a hoodie, put in his piercings and left. Ashton noticeed his sister, Sam, is already out of the house.

"Probably doing some dumb Gothic witch shit." He assumed rolling his eyes.

Looking at his watch he noticed it was already almost ten, so he grabbed his bike and booked it. When he gets there he noticed from the right path, Perci and Rowan were walking there and to his left he saw Sam, "great".

"Hey guys what's up? So whats with the note? You could of just texted me if you wanted to go on an "adventure" Ashton." Rowan said looking directly at him.

"Nah dude I thought you wrote this this note? Or Perci since his hand writing is more feminine like this." He replied.

"Hey! Well I guess it's true, but at least mines legible.~" Perci mumbled.

"Put a cork in you guys! At least if we brought all this supplies we can still camp out and have a good time." Sam interrupted.

She had a good point. Just as they were about to set out Rowan pointed out that the gate was now unlocked...

"Huh that's odd, didn't there used to be chains and pads locks on this gate?" Rowan ask examining the gate were the chains and locks used to be.

"Yeah there was.  Let's explore it, maybe there's something cool behind here!" Ashton wondered.

"But guys we don't know what's behind here, we never were able to even climb over it, something would always stop us." Perci cautioned.

"You know he's right, it could be dangerous. But then again, maybe it will be a garden and I can get some herbs for my spells." Sam agreed.

"Or maybe it'll be some actual useful herbs if you know what I mean."

Ashton nudged Rowan and they chuckled a little. They decided that it was a 3/4 vote then went into the gates. What they didn't see was on the ground under a near by bush, and barely visible were all the locks and chains that were covered with odd thorns and branches growing out of the key holes. Something was not right about this...

Once the inside, they saw that everything was all broken down,  like there was once a garden and a stone house here once. 

"Whoa.. this is super cool.. " Sam exclaimed looking all around.

"Guys look, there's an old well over here. I'm surprise that this is the only thing left standing and it looks like there's something alive at the bottom." Rowan suggested leaning over it.

"Oh no we have to get it out! I don't want it to be stuck in there." Perci cried.

"Well I guess, hmm... I can do it." Ashton spoke giving a slight shrug of the shoulders.

Ashton the climbed on top of the well, sat on the brim, then slid in, careful as to not hurt whatever Rowan saw. He plopped in hard but landed on a huge pile of moss which broke his fall and probably prevented him from spraining an ankle.

"Shit that hurt!... Huh?" he asked looking up, "Guys get down here and check this out!"

The rest of the crew slid down, some toppling onto others. The well made a turn, forming a tunnel. The insides walls were covered with ivy. The tunnel stretched a long ways.

"Oh shit.. I don't think we can climb back up.." groaned looking up.

So they had no choice but to walk down the long, dark tunnel. Luckily Perci had packed a flash light. The tunnel seemed stretch on and on like melted cheese on pizza. The air was colder as they got farther in, they could even see their breaths. Then the flashlight started to flicker before going out. When suddenly in the distance they could see a brighter light, and it started to get warmer.

"Come on guys we're almost there!" Shouted.

"Finally." Rowan mumbled

They climbed out to find themselves deeper in the woods, yet it didn't feel like fall anymore. Ashton was in front of the group then turned around to the sound of what sounded like either a dying animal or two cats trying to get it on.

Rowan screamed, "What the hell!!!

Perci fainted.

"Oh my god...." Sam said with disbelief.

" Wha- We're animals?!!?" Ashton yelled.

They were all animals now, Ashton a marbled fox, Sam a pink colored raccoon, Perci now a cat and Rowan a wolf. They stood there for maybe 30 minutes or so panicking and freaking out till Perci finally woke up and questioned everything, eventually their conversation was interrupted by the movement of grass in the plains just beyond them. Maybe there was someone else here too?

They quickly ran over, bounding over each other not used to their new bodies.

"Hey, is anyone there?" Sam called out.

Not too long after a quick spittering around the feild a creature then jumped out and ran into a spontaneous portal. It disappeared just as quickly as it had showed up, and once again they were alone.
