Don't Mess With The Beta // Liam & Y/N

Y/N P.O.V

8.47pm. I look back up from my wrist at the nearly empty lacrosse field. Liam was supposed to meet me here 17 minutes ago to go to Lydia's party that she practically forced me into going to.
I reach for my back pocket and grab out my phone. I tap his number in my favourites and give it a ring. Nothing.
I start to wonder off as I give his number one more try.
"It's Liam, you know what to -" I hang up, making my way to the boys locker room.  

I walk right in to the lockers which brought me multiple stares from the boys who are currently getting changed.
"Woah woah, Y/N you probably shouldn't be here" some boy says, making an attempt to cover his area.
"Oh grow up, look have you seen Liam?" I ask trying to avoid eye contact with anyone, because frankly, it's a little embarrassing, but I'm here now.
"Last time I saw he's in the showers."

I make my way around to the shower blocks, as the smell of the boys locker room starts to get to me. I knock on the door, but nobody answers.
"Liam? You in there?"

Scott's P.O.V

"Liam? You in there?" Someone says, but I can't recognise the voice.
"Is that Y/N?? Because that sounded like Y/N!!" Stiles says in a whisper.
"Come on!! Hold him back!!" I say, Liam starting to get stronger and angrier.
"LIAM??? Can you answer me??" The voice yells. Yep. It's definitely her.
"Uhh.. In a minute" Stiles stutters, but somethings happening.
"Stiles, I don't know how much longer we can do this without having to hurt him"  I yell, "we can't do this forever."
"SCOTT?? What the hell is going on in there??" She screams.

Y/N P.O.V
I wrap my fingers around the cold metal handle, slowly pushing the door open to find Stiles, Scoot and Liam.
"What the hell??? Why are you hurting him??" I scream, trying to pull Stiles back off of him.
"Look Y/N you don't understand, okay we aren't hurting him we're just-"
"Stiles, Stiles" Scott interrupt, "it's lowering, his heart rate, he's calming."
Scott reluctantly steps away from Liam, who's slowly Turing around from the shower.
"Y/N..." He says, looking me dead in the eyes. I rub to him and wrap my arms around his neck, his around my waist.
"Are you alright?" I whisper into his shoulder.
"Yeah I'm fine, you don't have to worry about me."

Scott's P.O.V

"Scott, why did his heartrate slow down all of a sudden? Doesn't he like Hayden?" Stiles asks, turning away from Liam and Y/N who were having their own conversation.
"Stiles, he may like Hayden, but Liam's in love with his best friend. She's his anchor." I say, looking over to Liam.
"Okay but are you sure? He's-"
"I'm sure. His heartbeat couldn't go down so quickly, unless she was his anchor. He's in love with her."
